Great video! I remember when picked up your Les Paul. I looks like you're having a blast with it slamming the pick on the strings!

Always played it in Open E, Keith played a lot in this tuning back in the end of the 60s.

I absolutely love this song. Interesting question… where does Keith stack up in the list of greatest guitarists? If the question relates to technical proficiency then he is fairly low. But if you talk about iconic riffs, I would say that Keith and Jimmy Page are the top 2. Thoughts?

Keith Richards was a beast at that time (Even though apparently Bill Wyman wrote this riff). Great job.

You missed a key step, amp at 11. Playing Jack everyday will make you live longer, just look at Keith. Thanks GP.

Ты так вдохновенно рассказываешь, что даже я, со своим уровнем понимания языка, который не так высок, почти всё понимаю. Отличная песня, крутой риф и очень простой. Жаль, кападастра нет 😢 😂

Doesn’t Keith remove the 6th, bottom string? Great breakdown!

Yes, Richards takes the bass E string off. You can also turn it to D and/or mute it. D is 5th of key of G so it will sound OK if you hit it open by mistake (not muted).

Can you play the James Burton lead electric guitar intro, solo and fills from the Judy Collins version of Someday Soon as found on the studio album Who Knows Where the Time Goes? NOT the Buddy Emmons Steel parts ... a LOT of vids out there on that ... but NOBODY on YT has ever done the James Burton stuff. That is a shame because this tune REALLY helped to get Country Rock rolling back in the day.

I love Keith Richards. He embodies the blues tradition of beauty from adversity. The terrible social and economic situation of black people in America at the time meant well or even properly constructed instruments were not available, which led to some of the slide and open tuning techniques. Keith's main challenges were being really drunk and an impossibly poor guitarist 😂. But from this situation came music so many of us love.

@@warwicksmiley im pretty sure the Double D is what gives the riff it’s signature sound on the recording. The same note on 2 strings. Although the original tuning was DADDAD in Eb instead of D
