  • I'm going back, way back. I've really had the itch to play Minecraft lately, but I wanted the simpler times that I remember. So today we're starting a Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 playthrough! I hope you enjoy this old school Let's Play, just like the Old RUclips days. Classic Minecraft goes hard. Let's go back to beta.

I feel like many people, myself included, have felt very similar to you over the past few years. The only advice I would feel at all qualified to give is to understand that your boundaries are always different than what you can see from where you are. Both in ability and circumstance and sometimes in vastly different degrees. I am a trained CNC machine operator but found that i hated the job between a few different employers. Now I'm a licensed massage therapist of all things, and find myself enjoying life much more than I thought I would back then.
So do not underestimate your own unseen potential, or the universe's' ability to drop things good and bad in your lap. But if you stop looking or don't look in crazy enough places, it can't drop anything anywhere.
Look for cool stuff in crazy and stupid places. And sincerely good luck.

Got to tell you I've been loving your Minecraft videos. This video was also very good.

Man, I _hate_ that this is the most relatable video ever.
I Found your main channel years back, probably looking up cameras and capture card info, best OBS settings. You know how Caleb from DSLR Video Shooter had a series of videos making filming rigs? I wonder if you could try making a series of "rig builds" for streaming, but using a range of gear, new and used, from different budgets? Or maybe detailing that crazy automated multi-camera setup. Maybe some sort of "omnisetup" series where it's a series of builds that all completely interconnect with each other at the end? Or maybe make them kind of modular?
There's a whole other side of RUclips and Twitch you've also experienced that I think a lot of us have practically no experience with. The _business_ side of RUclips. I know you also have a fascination with AI, and perhaps you could think of ways to help leverage self-hosted AI to help manage a schedule, or sort through your emails for you to help separate legitimate offers from SPAM?
I would also love a video series of your decision making process for different choices you made in your garage studio. Everything from turning the garage into a sutdio space, why you picked certain kinds of racks, mounts, not everything has to be an in-depth review, but I feel like there's so much institutional knowledge you have that I could learn from. The trouble of course, is how to get people to click on those videos.
I'm sure that a lot of these sound wild and crazy, and ambitious, but these are the ideas that I have when thinking of, 'What would I love to see the ideal version of "EposVox" teach me about?' Maybe some of these things won't be practical for us to replicate, but let's be real, as a wanna-be big-shot RUclipsr, I kind of like to live vicariously through the exploits of tech education channels. I watch, listen, and follow several others, but I _prefer_ to get my streaming/gear/review/tech content from the O.G. Epos _fucking_ Vox.
I hope you manage to get your groove back, dude, because I'm looking forward to watching!

Haha thank you very much for the wonderful comment.
The setup idea is interesting, but requires spending a bunch of money and acquiring a bunch of stuff I won’t use much past the video. Ran into that issue with my past budget tech series and just isn’t sustainable.
More deep dives on the studio workings makes sense though!

@@lostsaves Yeah, I figured that might be a bottleneck. I just seemed to remember an old video with a pile of gear waiting on reviews, but that was ages ago. Whatever it is you choose to do, I'll be there! You _got this_ dude.

Adam Steel's "I'm leaving RUclips." video is a good one to watch. He, like you has been an educator/tech RUclipsr for a long time, and has since slowly phased out of RUclips and become a Visual Content Manager for Audient. I'm not exactly sure if that would be the kind of career you'd be interested in, but it seems like a more natural transition into a related field, and there's not the same competition against creators now doing similar things to what you had been doing and inconsistency. I'm really sorry this is happening for you though, and I hope things pick up for you soon

Definitely think my brain hates a formula after it knows something works then the challenge is gone and once you solve a puzzle it becomes this weird nothing object.
You ever wonder why they call it feeling lost? like some people chase that lost feeling as sense of fulfilment they go out into the woods and try to find their way. That lost feeling can come from the strangest places too like not having any problems to deal with or having to many problems to deal with.
Its so strange 'feeling lost' were you on a path before that?
    Did you have a destination?
Are you lost or do you have more options than your used to?
Are you lost or do you just not recognise the road?
    Is what your feeling real?
Whats the difference between being lost an exploration?
Im starting to think a sense of wonder the true secret currency of the universe
Have you taken the time to soak in the feeling to really get a sense of its dimensions ADHD brain is in a sense emotionally colour blind and trends towards what should be rather than what is.

I’ve spent like 6 months like this, I’m pretty sure I’ve had plenty of time to soak in it lol
