  • I have dealt with vocal issues for YEARS! And now I’m telling my story. I never felt comfortable really talking about vocal loss and vocal injuries, but I’m using my platform as a means to shed light on vocal injuries and hopefully we can come together and support each other. If you're interested in studying with Susan Eichhorn Young, or simply want to ask in her joy and light, her website is susaneichhorny...
Here's an amazon link to the pastilles I mention in the video VocalZone. amzn.to/3pvL6T0 , amzn.to/38FTtWi . Should you choose to use this link, I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. The first link is for a six pk, the second link is for a two pk.
Be blessed in your vocal journey and never give up.

As a vocal coach myself, I also hope the stigma of seeking help from a vocal coach would be banished! Having that outside ear help you navigate through the rehabilitation process is golden. Even knowing proper technique can’t always save you. Getting good coaching (consistently…or at least at the first sign of trouble) can save your voice! So glad you found your voice again, Adrienne…you are an inspiration:)

Thank you for your transparency here. We have all been there! Finding your identity outside of singing is so important bc of seasons like this. Love this channel Adrienne! ❤️

Wow! This was so enlightening and your vulnerability made this so impactful. Thank you! I love the idea of Vocal Cash. As singers, it’s so important that we use our voices wisely.
Side note: you sounded like Gabrielle Union in that interview. I was like...😱 It’s what I call “Cheerleader Voice”. So glad you were able to gain your voice back.
    Love your channel! 😃

Hahaha! Not “The Cheerleader Voice”. Honestly Karl, I didn’t recognize my own voice when I heard that interview and it was a wake up call for sure! Thank you for watching and subscribing!

Question. Have you found any natural remedies for your reflux? I've been using omeprazole but I know doctors caution against long term use so I'm getting a bit worried about it

It’s so important to know how to approach singing in the healthiest way possible sadly most teachers can’t do that!! Thankfully you found a great one

I know it took a lot to be this transparent. Yes, we do need to come together as a community and stop judging one another because we all do it. Like you said its not just one thing that causes vocal issues. We all are human and sometimes we have to stop, step back, and listen to our inner voice and body. You can have the greatest vocal technique in the world and still loss your voice. Thank you for this video!

Thank you Marcel. You know, it was scary to share, but I'm glad I did. And I'm so glad we are having this discussion. We all deal with ti, perhaps we can be more supportive. Thank you for watching!

Lucian Sulica is the truth. He was my ENT through grad school and I learned so much about my voice and even why I would lose my voice at Spelman.

I also went to Spelman, majored in vocal performance, and lost my sophomore year right before juries.
