Elite Dangerous is so underrated!
If you start this game for the first time, it is absolutely worth the money and how long you play.
But if you have seen it, well…then that’s that. Then I could not agree.
The people on it now are the hard-core players.
Only pc version is good
Sorry, but you're wrong about fissures.
To minimize seismic charge expenditure you should find a Low Strength Fissure, plant a max yield charge. This will never get you to red but will cover most of the yellow.
Adjust from there.

Still the best space sim, thats not even debatable..we just need some real addition and updates with real value, thats all..
Why do you always start with the high strength fissures and work down? Personally, I start low and work up. 2 fully charged charges on 2 low strength fissures is right about perfect. Sometimes a full charge on 1 low and 1 med fissure will also work. In any case, it almost always uses less charges to hit the optimum yield zone. Does it produce more resources if you use more charges or is it just based on how well you get in the optimum yield zone?
Actually if low-to-high works for you than that is the right technique. My recommendation is just the things that i find useful along the way. I think the optimum yield zone level changes the produced resources but its hard to be sure
collector limpets are not important in core mining, 4 is more then enough, each core releases from 6-16 pieces, the time it takes for you to wait for the asteroid to open up the limpets are faster then you can dislocate the pieces
Never considered mining in a Corvette but I think I'll give it a shot haha

I'm a new ED player, just tried to mine for the first time last night in Delkar. I can't figure out my why seismic charges just keep bouncing off the asteroid fissures... I target them after using the prospector, but they never stick.
Hmmm..if they never stick thats another subject, you may be doing sth wrong, but if they sometimes stick, you should improve your aiming

The reason for that is that you are firing Seismic Charges at subsurface deposits, and not asteroid fissures! Theres a difference between the two :-)
Surface deposits: Abrasion Laser
Subsurface deposits: Displacement Mines
Asteroid fissures: Seismic Charges
