Had one of these as my 2nd bike. Started with a 94 Suzuki RF 600, and this thing was an absolute ROCKET compared to the RF. Had a great deal of fun with it and never had an issue in the 8yrs I had mine.
Same! Also my second bike, and i still have and ride it since i bought it in 2015! So also 8 years now. Bought it with 18000kms if i remember correctly and sits at 75000ish atm. Still going strong. Thinking about upgrading next year tho. Friend bought a 08 GSXR750. and damn that thing looks great.
@@PunkrockDude86 never care for any of the styles that came after the 2001's generation. They just didn't look right to me and got way to cramped for my 6'3" 230lb frame. I switched to a 98 Vmax and never looked back. Gonna add a 24 Rocket 3 to the garage next year as the Vmax can't be my only bike anymore, my right hip won't deal with it.

+Andreeas Misaila it is still the stock exhaust. Not bad huh. Still really need/want a new one tho.. short black one should look awesome. Now i only need to find one that sounds the same or even better. And is legal in The Netherlands and Germany. Maybe one day .
+NotYourAverageBiker nooooo! Im sorry. I got the wrong bike in my head. My old one came with the stock exhaust. ^^" This one has a BSM Future.

Sorry for the late reply, Thanks! bought it in 2012 with 18000 something KMS (Google: 28968MILES) . i still ride the bike and i think it has like 49000 KMS (Google: 78857 MILES) right now. Cost me around 3K Euros back in the day. Might be differant these days and or in other countries.
BIG whoopsy. 18000KM is 11000 Miles and 49000KM is 30447 miles =p i googled it the other way around. it's late over here ;p

+tHaH4x0r Thanks! naah man, in my opinion the GSXR's started to look beautiful when they came up with this model. My buddy owns a Stretched SRAD, those are nice bikes though. i actually have some footage of that bike from a few months back when i borrowed it because i had no bike and my car broke down. footage will be online eventually.

@@tHaH4x0r always surprising how people have a love/hate reaction with these bikes...model appearance by year, small things like tail end, etc, I am lover of this one!
Nog steeds tevreden met de Suzuki? Ik wil misschien ook dit model (liefst wit met blauw).
sorry voor de late reactie, zat midden in een verhuizing. Ben zeer tevreden met de bike,. gelukkig niets geks meegemaakt. alleen mn Dynamo heeft het een maand of 2 geleden begeven. Gelijk een nioeuwe besteld bij Carmo (120 dacht ik) en kon weer gassen. maar hey. De originele Dynamo heeft het best een tijd volgehouden vanaf 2001, dus niets te klagen. en zeker een aanrader als het model je aanstaat. de witblauwe zijn ook mooi (mijne is nu ook wit/blauw, aleen een beetje anders ;)
Inmiddels al een bike aangeschaft? En is het dit model geworden?
ik heb nog geen motor gekocht. Zit nog steeds zwaar te twijfelen. Het is zeker 1 van de opties.

Grote kans dat je dit niet meer ziet. Maar ik ben op zoek naar mijn eerste motor. Zou een GSXR 600 aan te raden zijn?
Hey Sebastiaan, We zijn er nog! Helaas geen motor content meer, Maar we gamen lekker verder hier onder een andere naam.
Persoonlijk vind ik dit wel een goede motor om op te starten. (Weet niet of je specifiek dit model 600 zoekt) Maar dit model is een K1, de K1 K2 K3 modellen zijn wat lompere motoren dan bijvoorbeeld de Honda 600RR uit 2005 (Vind ik best een iel dingetje nu ik de K1 zo gewend ben) Ben zelf maar 177cms lang en kom met beide voetjes aan de grond. Maatjes van mij rijden allemaal 750's en 1000's en kan ze met deze 600 nog best bijhouden. Uiteraard word het wat lastiger als ze de openbare weg als circuit gaan beschouwen, maar kunt ze aardig bijbenen. Onderhoud is ook niet gek. Heb deze motor nog steeds! (sinds 2015) Na mijn ervaring degelijke motoren ook, heb hem alleen olie/filter beurtjes, Rem olie, Dynamo, nieuwe accu en bandjes, remblokken, en een dynamo gegeven de afgelopen jaren. En ik rijd zogoed als het hele jaar door, vaak ook swinters. teller zit nu op zon 75000, (gekocht met 18000 dacht ik) Zou gewoon eens lekker een test ritje plannen en kijken hoe het bevalt. Hoop dat je hier wat aan hebt.
