I'm always happy to work with GouletPens.com on things like this, they have great customer service and I think they really love pens! As much as I do maybe!
Anyways, I also did a separate giveaway for the drawing in this video for members of Peter's Doodle Club at patreon.com/peterdraws , who also got early access to the video as well.
Thanks for all the support everyone!
Peter Draws After signing up I learned I lived 10 minutes from Goulet Pens...awesomeness
Beautiful!
I love you
John Anthony god that would get expensive for me. I love them.
Beautiful pen. Thanks for the opportunity to win it.
I feel like Peter is like an art dad. And like, Bob Ross is that grandpa you see every once in awhile but always makes you happy when you visit.
Eck NoLife He is the child if Frodo and R Crumb had a baby.
That could be a new metric by which we judge art: how many ink-cartridges did it take?
Sounds pretty imperial to me. ;P
That wouldn't be judging art. If it was you would be able to determine whether something was art or literature or work based on the amount of ink you used.
THIS WAS THE FIRST OF PETERS VDEOS THAT I HAVE SEEN TWO YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN I HAVE WATCHED AND LISTENED TO EVERY ONE OF HIS VIDEOS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THANK YOU PETER DRAWS!
I love watching and listening to your videos, soothing, cathartic, the Bob Ross of RUclips imo. I envy your art, patience, hand steadiness, and commentary! 🖖
I love fountain pens. As I watched this I was telling myself "he better put that lid on" because I have tipped over a bottle of ink, that was right next to a book, which is now has the most beautiful sunset orange pages. Also, I'd like to add that I love you too.
That is a sweet looking pen setup. I'm a southpaw who doesn't hold a pen properly so I would have to relearn how to write without smudging everything, lol. Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the drawing. I liked how you made that border seamlessly and you weren't working toward some end goal. Just a person with an instrument they could draw with putting lines on whatever medium it is they have at hand. That's pure art to me. Not work. Art. And the more time you put into it, the better it seems to look, even if you don't really know exactly what it is.
Your videos are so nice and therapeutic! It's like soda that not bad for you. Sparkling water
//dramatic music, rain in background
I LOVE YOU TOO PETER
(also I really really really like your word doodles. they're soothing just like your drawing doodles. but in a kind of different way.
i like it.)
You are awesome. I'm amazed at how you just start drawing lines and a picture eventually appears.
Your ring matches the pen and I CAN'T EVEN. Perfection.
I hardly ever comment on videos but I wanted to share this.
I watched the How to Write A Wordle video maybe last week, and I showed my brother since he's a lyricist and has been writing raps and peoms for many years. He has started to write his own wordles and talks highly about how liberating and stimulating it is! Even more so because he is very analytical of his work and can start to over think. I read his first wordle the other night and it was very fun to read, and quite amazing with his own style shining through. Now, I'm inspired! And all of this to say, thanks for the great videos!
That's so cool :)
I love the color of the pen, it matches your ring. What a great way to start my day!
Smudging can be a useful addition to ink art. Something I got into (a little bit) years ago. I was doing quick smudge blending as I went along.
Hey you can refill the plunger with it being attached to the pen, just dip in the point of the pen and twist the plunger thing.
I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS, I WAS THINKING: “OH PLEASE LET ME FIND A FEW MORE VIDEOS OF HIM!” AND THEN I FOUND THAT PETER HAS UPLOADED HUNDREDS OF WONDERFUL ONES. I WAS SOOO HAPPY. I STILL AM HAPPY AND THANKFUL. I LOVE YOU PETER DRAWS!
You've got the strong link between your feeling, mind and hand. I liked the part in your comment at 9:44. Great job Peter

Thanks for the advice. I have a two year old son now by the way.
I bought Mum a Lamy for Christmas in a lilac colour. It's brilliant!
THIS IS AWESOME! I love Goulet pens! Seeing you collab has warmed my heart today.
You are one of the best people to watch sketch and doodle.watching you has made me want to start drawing again.thanks man
You make simple lines into a portal into another world
I don't know what it is with this drawing but I come back to it very often just to watch it again
Your art style is truly something special and I truly appreciate your work and personality. Keep up the good work Pete.
Words are made up of line......nice and we'll said Peter.... Love your drawings
i also love your drawing
I like ur style dude ur very patient and u never get bored.
I really enjoy your use of line. Ut ous refreshing to watching line being the entire essence of the drawing itself, no just shapes and figures. It makes me wanna go doodle with lines. Lol
Lamy pens are amazing. We had to buy them for school and I still have mine (it’s 23 years old by now and still works perfectly). One tip though, never let anyone else use it. The pen adjusts to your own personal pressure and if someone else uses it it might widen the tip and it will get scratchy.
I never knew you could get those refillable cartridges, so I’ll try and get my own. Your drawing was absolutely stunning!
Everything about you is so soothing and serene.
YOUNDONT KNOW HOW LONG IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Love your drawings and voice... so satisfying and I get the little feel good chills too😊😊
I love seeing that you got into fountain pens, because I love them as well
Your right my eyes are drawn to the blank spaces first
Thank you for another amazing drawing and video
not only nice art but also nice handwriting
A very beautiful piece of work
Sounds like an ASMR video, art melted with a little bit of relaxing
"And I like words and I like lines and it's the perfect combination"
I've found a favorite drawing pen..It's a cheap-o from Dollar Tree called Inc R-2. I use a .7 and a .5. I know they're not professional pens, but man I enjoy using them. I ink all my pencil drawings with them and keep one in my pocket at all times for random doodling. Very smooth and consistent lines.
Ryno Bones nice! When you find a pen you love, that's a special satisfying feeling.
Have you tried Alpona or Rongoli ? It's more like zentangle but Indian style. You'll find similar patterns in henna-tattoo designs as well. Although I like your doodling, but I would like to watch you draw portrait, architecture or something else once in a while just for change. You have such a great patience, I think you would excel in any type of drawing in pen & ink.
nice drawing, recommend rinsing new nibs off with soapy water before use to clean off the oils
Honestly I just love your brain... cant help but to eagerly wait for your new videos to come out
Hi peter! I'm a big fan! You, my dude, inspire me to keep on drawing. Thank you my friend, thank you.
I just love your videos, most of the time they inspire me to either start a new drawing or finish one I started.
That cry in the end just had me 😂
Like always, a very entertaining video!
I was very happy to find your video of drawing with a fountain pen; something I've been wanting to try! Thanks for the chance to win that gorgeous blue pen.
(sniff, sniff) I love you, too, man. I love you! (sniff)
i thought pen and ink artist sketch first but damn, you guys freehand this? that's dedication and sheer goddamn will right there.
I recently got a Metropolitan after seeing your inspiring artwork. I showed this video to my 15 year old son. And now he has a fountain pen. The first time he used it, he said writing with it was so "satisfying". He must have been chanelling you. Keep up the great work.
It's interesting how special fountain pens are to you. For German children it's normal to write with such a pen. Every student in Germany get a fountain pen insider their little school bags on first day of school along with other useful thing and sweets inside a big paper bag. It's called : ,,Zuckertüte".
Yes, they're definitely more of a novelty here.
How does one have such perfect handwriting 😍
Scrumptious line work! :)
Peter Draws is my hero 🖌
These are the most relaxing and informative videos ever. Thanks Peter 👍🏻
That's a very beautiful fountain pen! Keep up with the amazing work!
I thought of playing around with this recently to practice with texture more thank you for the upload this made a bad morning much better
The pistons have a little ball inside that moves around and covers the place where the ink comes from when the pen is tilted (because gravity). Just in case anyone wondered
This drawing reminds me so much of the work of Albrecht Dürer. Lovely.
Back in primaryschool everybody had this lamy al-star pen :D
Maj. Flusensturm füllerführerschein^^
In primary we had the wooden lamy 😅
Thanks Peter. Looks like an etching.
Woo early morning video! Love the blue and your handwriting is so neat.
I love how whimsical your artwork is!! :)
I would love to see a video of the stacks of doodles you have done, or a video of art work you admire of your own. ^^ like a collection of sketch books/journals your have flipping threw them. I love watching your videos ^^
Your wordles are so cool
Do you have a page? I wanna see that :0
...the stuff we used to do at school while the teacher was talking... :)
Fantastic and liberating drawing! I just get one of these fountain pens as a gift... Now I know what to do with it ;D Thank you very much for share this!
I love you too, Peter!!
Very, very talented. Love your ring. Thanks for a wonderful video.
I haven't seen Peter draw for so long, I've felt so depressed without hearing his voice for so long...
awe, I love you too peter ❤️
Oof the blue of that pen is so electric ❤️
kelsie wolfgram yes! So nice!
My Al Star just bit the dust...got stuck in my car door when it got caught on the trim as I entered the car. Looks like Goulet get another order from me.
The lamy pen is so common as a school pen in germany^^
Beautiful work.
You forgot to put that metal ring back on the pen
i love the feel of fountain pens, drawing or writing. their just so smooth, would love to win the fountain pen and ink, i've bought some really cheap fountain pens and have wanted to but some ink as well just never found right one for the right price. good luck to everyone else and keep drawing!! :))))))))✒✏
Thanks, Peter! You make look so easy! Well done!
Beautiful dude
Awesome video. You can just keep the cartridge in the pen and dip the nib right into the ink bottle
Love your videos keep up the crazy, funny and wacky drawings/videos
Its a good day when peter makes a video!
I love this drawing!. Excellent work man! Keep doing you!
that was the best ending to a video I've ever heard
2 videos in 24 hour. Great, i love you.
Beautiful ring you're wearing
Peter is the Bob Ross of pen drawing.
Nice pink nail polish Peter!
I love my matte black Pilot Vanishing Point. Prized possession pen
Did anyone notice that on the wordle, Peter wrote as the date 3/5/18? It’s 2/8/18.
Guys. Is Peter from the future?!
Fill from the nib, as the section holds a lot of ink too. Also, even if you rest your hand on parts of the page you haven't drawn on, it can still be an issue since the oils in your skin get on the paper and sometimes that causes skipping issues when you draw on it later. That's more a problem with pencil, but it has happened to me with ink too. Neither of these points is a big deal, just a tip.
i literally love your intros and outros
this is the first time I watch your work and I really enjoy it, and for somehow it reminds me starry night. I think it will be great if you can draw starry night with your fountain pen. have a nice day
Thanks for the morning inspiration....I now have to go to that place where I push the green, red and blue buttons. Put in some earplugs and make up some boxes and then put the stuff in the boxes and then tape the box shut....times infinity for 8 or 10 hours.
A major reason people use smooth paper with fountain pens is so that the paper doesn't get stuck in the nib
Well if I scribble in one spot a little to darken in an area, I still had this problem. But I don't think it would be a problem for regular writing.
Well, first - it is a pleasure. Smooth gliding nib on the good paper is a wonderful thing.
Youre my cup of coffee Peter :)
Interesting how the ink looks blue when it has more space with the hatching, but goes black where it was applied with more intensity. Not sure if its the ink, the camera or the lighting.
His drawings could actully make for some pretty good skins in games
In school I just sucked the ink through the nip into the converter but 🤷♂️ your technique does the trick too.
Hey I know this is an old vidio but I am wondering what you do after each drawing with the Pen? Do you clean the pen after each drawing or What? How often should I clean it? Thanks peter :)
Peter why did you not flip the nib?
An extra fine lamy upside down is like a 0.1 fineliner!
That little ball on the tip of the pen is the writing surface and its also on the top of the nib!
I like the fact that its possible with some fountain pens, makes them very versatile tools.
I was genuinely surprised that this video was uploaded five days ago and I havent seen it till now. My house must be encapsulated in some sorta wierd time flux capacitor and ive been unwillingly sequestered to a different time space.
hi pete. i notice that you put more pressure while you draw. lamys have a very sensitive and soft feed. the more it bend overtime the nib loosens.
