    Sounds great. 25 HP is not to be sneezed at. Really liked the video.
    One issue with getting the exhaust/extractors done is it increases the braking distances........as I found out when I overshot my usual turnoff on the way home from the shop. 🙂
    Fitting just a VCM OTR complete with MAF sensor leads knocked about 2 litres per 100 km off the fuel consumption of my VE SS for highway driving...... when I did get it serviced..... the first the mechanic did was call me. I to take the original air intake down for them to fit as it was running way too lean.

    Quick question, I installed a full diFillipo exhaust system and CAI to my LS3 and haven't had it tuned yet!! would that be the cause of the engine light coming on and saying the rear O2's aren't working? I can clear the codes, drive for an hour or so or days, then the engine light comes back on, then rinse and repeat and it's good again. The car drives no different with the engine light on or off, I did check and was informed no harm can be done with the rear O2's tripping the engine light, So will a tune fix this problem or do you think the the rear O2's might be faulty? cheers Max

As for extractors theres a mathematical equation to work out witch runner length and size based off cam specs. Mainly to do with a thing called valve overlap . Witch is crucial to get the 100% out of your engine without adversely effecting what little atmospheric pressure there is for a na engine. Eg atmospheric preesure is 7 psi. With correct valve overlap occurring with correct extractors , manifold , headers brings the it upto 14psi due to a correct vacuum achieved thanks to valve ovelap

      @BoostGumps  2 года назад +1

      @@backyardbangers1012 I do…
      Most of that is incorrect. What youre trying to optimise is flow. The correct size and length headers, as well as collector design, are based around cylinder scavenging during exhaust valve events allowing for maximum cylinder filling. Intake runners can be optimised the same way. Atmospheric is 1 bar is 14.7psi, not 7psi. Overlap has nothing to do with this.
      A lack of engine flow due to incorrect manifold design will not cause vacuum, quite the contrary.
