Henshaw is both tragic and pathetic. He was the one who took his wife into space and it was Darkseid who sent Doomsday to Earth crashing into Henshaw's ship along the way. As for Henshaw his entire escape plan was Superman will save them (but it's kind of hard for him to hear you when you're in space where sound doesn't travel). It’s not a problem of “bad writers vs good writers”. The problem is that big budget movies are less likely to take risks because they have more to lose. Everything needs to be corporate approved. "She's dead because of you" Why, because he couldn't save your ship in time? No matter how much everyone wants to think it, he can't be everywhere at once, and save EVERY life. Superman is just ONE guy.
He was written better in the comics. The fact that he couldn't explain what had happened to him and the fact that Terri died drove Hank into madness, and he began developing delusions and inaccuracies of what really happened. He needed something to blame for his tragedy, and he chose Superman. So his mind crafted its own story that Superman threw something into the Sun, causing the spaceship that he and Terri were in to fill with radiation and crashland. It had nothing to do with Darkseid or Superman not being there in time. Cyborg Superman's motive is all his rage, grief, and frustration directed at the world.
Ivan Del Bianco no, they’re not a farce. Batman was already rushing to Jason Todd when the bomb blew up the warehouse. Hank never delivered any signal for Superman or the JL to save him. You think with all the crimes on Earth, they are able to respond to a call made in outer space? How entitled can you be to always demand a rescue when million others also needed saving? Both Hank and Jason Todd are egoistic maniacs that blames their own personal failures and tragedy to their idols. At least Jason was redeemed in some story arcs as an anti-hero that works with the Bat-family to solve crimes in Gotham. Hank merely used Superman to rid himself of all guilt in causing the death of his wife, even though it was clearly his failure as a husband and her commander.
Actually, according to the last movie "Death of Superman", Hank was the one who suggested that they should stay and wait for Superman while his wife wanted to leave. Also, if Darkseid saved him, why didn't Hank wondered why Darkseid save him but not his wife and him. If anything, Cyborg Superman should get revenge on Darkseid instead of Superman.😒😒😒

What I love most about this fight is the rage you can feel in every one of hanks attacks. He hates Superman, he’s not holding back or getting easily and suddenly overpowered like many super hero fights. He gave it his all.
Hank Henshaw, the Cyborg Superman, he may not be Superman’s worst enemy but he’s definitely one of the most dangerous. Dan Jurgens not only gave us Doomsday, the creature that killed the Man of Steel, but he also gave us one of the most troubled and twisted villains of DC. Hope to meet him someday.
Honestly, I do like the idea that Doomsday was created by Darkseid for the purpose of killing Superman, as to make Earth vulnerable for invasion. If they had wrote it that way in _BvS_ or wrote it that Lex was being manipulated by Darkseid or Steppenwolf, it'd honestly make a bit more sense.
Lois should shut the fuck up and stay in the background. This is the type of damsel in Distress people I hate. They think they can be so tough and act like they're invincible and think the villain won't easily kill them.
Rigor Berzerk why should she shut the fuck up? She has a point. Cyborg Superman. Is nothing more than a colossal Metal baby throwing a temper tantrum. Something about seeing Superman use guns is just.......awesome lol. The long hair is also awesome. I remember a few comics from way back(like during the 90’s) where Superman had long hair for a while and I assumed that would be his new look and loved it. Nope, back to the swirl cut lol
Hank Henshaw takes control of the Green Lanters Manhunters in the 2010ish comics. His character growth is kind of all over the place though. It's difficult to follow what he does from issue to issue. He kind of plot teleports if that makes sense.
" How about... to kill a mockingbird? " In the comics That is the line that let Lois know that the black suit superman was Clark. Because that was his all time favorite movie.
Hank shouldn’t have put so much faith in Superman to save his wife. Just because he has powers that doesn’t make him a godly figure that is always there when needed.
"She's dead because of you!" Superman: Actually it's your fault She's dead. She could've stayed on Earth monitoring the mission making sure everything works correctly yet you wanted her to go with you. You allowed the God of destruction to warp your mind turning your very thoughts into pure hatred towards me. You're just another weapon, a pawn in someone else's game. So like Lois said none of this is about her, it's about you. Nothing but you.
I love that this shows that you can't equate Super Heroes to gods even though they may seem like at times. You can expect Super heroes to come and solve all your problems or save you, you have to take the initiative to try and save yourself or find ways out of your current situation.
This fight shows that Krytonians even without their superpowers from yellow sun, are naturally more durable than normal humans, hence how Superman was still able to put up some fight even when depowered.
1:37 THIS is what Lex is afraid will happen! This is what he sees humanity will becoming with superman protecting it. And that is why he considers superman a menace. Cause it will make people overconfident, put the load of being safe on one alien being. And not take responsability for when things go wrong.
The animated universe seemed to know what they were doing more than the movies. I wasn't a fan of the animation or some of the decisions, but I liked these more than anything the live action movies had done in the past 9 years. With the exception of Wonder Woman and the James Gunn stuff.
To be honest, I don’t blame Hank for feeling the way he does Superman is seen as a god that can hear any cry from help from all over the world and be there in a second, two if its a bad day, yet he didn’t come when HE needed him However, it was still his fault for not acting and relying on Superman to solve his problem
Sound doesn't travel in space; superman literally had no way of knowing any of this was going on. This is actually brought up elsewhere (in the comics at least), as it's why Hal Jordan doesn't realise Coast City is being messed up while he's in orbit.
Spawn and Image Comics was so popular in the early 90's, Marvel and DC did some drastic stuff to get their readers back. Killing Superman and killing Xavier temporarily created new heroes and new universes to re-engage old readers. Everyone can have their own opinion if those story arcs were good, creative or successful but make no mistake about it, if it wasn't for Image Comics, Marvel and DC would probably be shelling out the same old stories today.

Bullshit, people blame Batman all the time for the actions of his villians. The difference is Batman is willing to take responsibility for it. Superman of all people gives the most useless excuse ever, "he's just one man".
Nope, Superman is Immortal already stated by the Dr. Fate, Manhattan and The Writer

I love how Lois calls out Henshaw on his Bullcrap about his ego and that it had nothing to do with the death of his wife Teri.
This isn't some raging psycho just being evil. This is a man who lost everything, including his faith, due to unfortunate circumstances.A man with nothing to lose and nothing left to gain.
Say what you will about hank, but at least admit he's an amazing villain(especially compared to this versions darkseid).
Agree with 100 percent in this comment.
I still remember the time he was suicidal
no he isnt, hes an angry asshole taking his pain out on people who dont deserve it. being somewhat sympathetic dosen't make you a good villain
Betatron "Hank" is Henry Henshaw's (New-Earth) nickname.
He’s just having a temper tantrum and blaming his idol for his own failings as a leader and husband.

That's exactly what they did in ZSJL
That Superman is the same of movie the death of Superman of 2018?
I just love Superman's black suit and long hair. He looks like something out of an 80's action movie.

I'm with Lois :"Oh give it a rest and die" lol. I hate this type of villain, but the animation is great.
Lois has been kidnapped several times by super villains with far more reasonable motives, that in comparison cyborg superman is nothing more than a joke to her. That’s why I love Lois Lane. That’ll be Howard hamlin
Cyborg: “Was there a way out for my wife?” YES! If he had listened to the crew she wouldn’t have died. Dude’s a serious mental case

Something about seeing Superman use guns is just.......awesome lol. The long hair is also awesome. I remember a few comics from way back(like during the 90’s) where Superman had long hair for a while and I assumed that would be his new look and loved it. Nope, back to the swirl cut lol
Lois at 0:39: *I'll just pretend I can't slide my hand out of this until he looks away.*
Hank Henshaw takes control of the Green Lanters Manhunters in the 2010ish comics. His character growth is kind of all over the place though. It's difficult to follow what he does from issue to issue. He kind of plot teleports if that makes sense.
Lois: who is that ?!
Superman: its cyborg superman
Cyborg superman: no I am the terminator ☠️☠️☠️
Yep.
"I was sent back in time to stop Clark Kent."
" How about... to kill a mockingbird? " In the comics That is the line that let Lois know that the black suit superman was Clark. Because that was his all time favorite movie.
At 3:02 he got that perfect batman voice!
This guy really beefing Superman for something Superman didn't even know about lmao 😂
Hank shouldn’t have put so much faith in Superman to save his wife. Just because he has powers that doesn’t make him a godly figure that is always there when needed.
"She's dead because of you!"
Superman: Actually it's your fault She's dead.
Superman: "Over my dead body!"
Hank: "It wouldn't even be a first..."
DC always have the good animated movies
My favorite Superman suit good old Black and Silver
When Hank says, "She's dead because of you," the drawing of madness is the same when Joker reverts to his old self in The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1.
I love that this shows that you can't equate Super Heroes to gods even though they may seem like at times. You can expect Super heroes to come and solve all your problems or save you, you have to take the initiative to try and save yourself or find ways out of your current situation.
How you blame someone else for your failures
Black-suit Superman in this looks pretty dope
This fight shows that Krytonians even without their superpowers from yellow sun, are naturally more durable than normal humans, hence how Superman was still able to put up some fight even when depowered.
I've always liked Supes all black outfit, though he is at his best in red and blue. The armored look here is awesome.
Hank: Stay here. I'll deal with you later.
Clark: Over my dead body.
Hank: That's the plan.
The soundtrack to this is incredible
1:37 THIS is what Lex is afraid will happen! This is what he sees humanity will becoming with superman protecting it.

The animated universe seemed to know what they were doing more than the movies. I wasn't a fan of the animation or some of the decisions, but I liked these more than anything the live action movies had done in the past 9 years. With the exception of Wonder Woman and the James Gunn stuff.
"Over my dead boy"
Batman v Superman:

Just saw Justice League Dark Apokolips War. What a sad way to end the entire DC Animated Universe.
Hate how this movie adaptation didn't show Cyborg Supes use any of his tech based weapons, like his plasma cannons and lasers.
To be honest, I don’t blame Hank for feeling the way he does
Superman is seen as a god that can hear any cry from help from all over the world and be there in a second, two if its a bad day, yet he didn’t come when HE needed him
However, it was still his fault for not acting and relying on Superman to solve his problem
Sound doesn't travel in space; superman literally had no way of knowing any of this was going on. This is actually brought up elsewhere (in the comics at least), as it's why Hal Jordan doesn't realise Coast City is being messed up while he's in orbit.
I love Superman’s dark blue eyes they are so beautiful.
Louis: *exist*
Superman: kept you waiting huh?!
