I've never used moose...always gel. I'm going to change my routine and try this.
Most black owned brands hair gels be on the thin side almost waterly and when you use those hair gels use the right leave in conditioner you don’t use the right leave in conditioner can leave built up with the hair gels

Beautiful!!!!! My stylist introduced me to mousse...I like it so much better than gel. Gel makes my hair break. Only thing bad about mousse it doesn't last the entire week, if I do a WnG on Saturday, it will last until Wednesday. She told me to buy design essence...the green one. Working pretty well. Only foam I tried.

Mousse gives good definition with little hold so I like to put a gel underneath and it works like a dream!

Love your look. I use mousse and glaze (Synergi) for styling. I use synergi products for washing, detoxing, conditioning, leave-in & deep conditioning. I have lots of products and kept going back to synergi and it works best for me

I like the Design Essential mousse
I usually use creams as an all in one bc I hate gunky hair and usually they are enough but the products I've been using are just not hitting anymore (changing formulas) So I tried just a mousse for finger waves and I thought, why the hell haven't I been using this as a stand alone defining moisturizer. You don't even have to dampen your hair much. I found a OGX coconut curls lock + moisture mousse is like a cream and mousse all in one, and I loved it. Im going to get it again but definitely going with mousse again. Its such so much better. Hair stylist use it the most anyway for hold and shine, so it must be great for many things

Today is May 11th, 2022,and your hair turned out really pretty. I mean beautiful, my hair is still a little bit shorter than yours but it's growing back from having breast cancer twice but I'm going to try to do this style with the cantu avocado hydrating mousse. So wish me luck.

Nairobi is the best foam wrap on the market. Honestly, none of the others come close to comparing to the shine and longevity it provides.
Do you use it for wash and go's?
@@DefineMorena I have, but I wouldn't use it alone because it doesn't add enough "weight" and hold to my hair--most foams won't add enough weight for my preferred look for wash and goes. I prefer to do gel first and then top off with gel for shine, quicker drying time, and a smooth finish. But it wouldn't hurt to try! Maybe you will like the volume and lightness.
I do use it alone for any other set style: rod set, braidouts, twistouts, etc.

I wonder if porosity impacts how mousse works on certain hair. I am low po and found that a mousse made my hair more moisturized, shiny, and soft compared to gels. Gels made me hair feel hard, stiff, and dry. I still have slight frizz but the mousse still holds well on its own. Never going back to gel - I bought the kinky curly custard hype for nothing!
What’s your curl type bc I also have low porosity but mousse really isn’t defining my curls the way gel kinda does

i used the lotta body foaming mousse for a wash and go and I was really surprised. It definitely gives a lighter result. The camera didn't do my hair justice for the definition either. The only complaint i had was that my hair was really frizzy.
I have lotta body too, Adding cream will help but OGX coconut curls mousse was extremely moisturizing and defining and my hair is 3c
