This can also use in a scary way, cause it looks like a photo frame if you hide the cable, use a image sequence which has eyes move at interval and scare the hell out of anyone in the daylight.
An e-ink screen would be a great way of getting around the having to be constantly plugged in issue, although the colours would suffer as a result. I'd love to see it though
E Ink proves to be an excellent technology for implementation on the digital art canvas. Nonetheless, the current E Ink technology can only display approximately 50,000 colors, which is insufficient for showcasing the full spectrum. LCD displays, in contrast, can exhibit millions of colors, making them more suitable for presenting artworks at present. Hopefully, E Ink will be able to offer a broader range of colors in the near future.
As someone big on tech/cyber aesthetics I thought this might be interesting. I figured there’s plenty of decent monitors between 100 and 300 dollars so this can’t be TOO much if it doesn’t do anything. Soon as I heard the price and then calculated that for American dollars 💸 I’m 200% good on this 🗣️🙅♂️
It looks like a good way to shift all those old 27" panels they bought before 28" became the norm. etc. I could probably make something similar with an old monitor and a Pi?

@@saz153well it does not HAVE to be e-ink. But if you make it LED you either need a massive battery (= expensive and heavy) or you need to charge it every day.

Yay anime. I'm a little sad that with all the (what people call AI but it's actually) machine learning art that's been circulating it has infested our favorite website to get related images from. Oh, you reading this comment don't know where that is? play the jingle.
Great question, the backlight brightness can be adjusted using the Vieunite app. So whether its installed in a dark room or a brightly lit space you can achieve the realistic art effect.
@@vieuniteHQ hi, thanks for the feedback. Can you provide an estimate, a rough projection of when other sizes will be available? It's hard to call it a scam or a rip off if you give them money and they give you a product. Scam and ripoffs are you giving them money and them shipping nothing. The more you know 😊
@@POVwithRC A rip-off is something priced too high and/or a poor imitation of something that already exists. That isn't exclusive to not receiving an item.

Watched part of the video. These frames need to have auto dimming and to be oled etc. Then they'll be looking realistic as they should, otherwise it's easy to notice that it's a screen and not a paining, poster, photo etc
@@parshakamarsh and why not if I pick it up from my neigbour? So many 55inch frame buyers got 32inch tv frame "for free" and are now selling these away.
The Samsung Frame is a TV product, while the Vieunite Digital Art Canvas is specially designed for showcasing art without reflections. The display quality is much better compared to Samsung.
Gonna wait for a 90% discount.
its just a screen with a frame on it
I still can't afford it with a 90% discount. The only way I can afford it is free + they add 50 bucks on top of it
Best i can do is $20
Imma just use my iPad

The idea is nice but i would rather see a e ink screen frame but that would make the price much higher but that would also make it portable.
Yeah, an e-ink would be really fantastic and with that, the price would be through the roof.
How often will you be carrying your photo frame around the house?
That's actually a brilliant idea. Lower the cost, still have good resolution, color, and no worrying about the battery dying as often.

Interesting piece of tech
Nice!
Keep it on the desk ✌️😎
How good would this be as a colour e-ink panel that doesn't need power once the picture is loaded.
It looks like a good way to shift all those old 27" panels they bought before 28" became the norm. etc. I could probably make something similar with an old monitor and a Pi?
Don't know how that would work out, I thought about repurposing an old tablet as a clock, but ultimately decided against it.
It's a good idea to utilise the old monitor, but these old monitors all have some sort of reflections that may not be suitable for displaying the art.
Colored e-ink with no bezels for half the price and it'd be awesome

That’s lovely. 😍 it’s a shame it has to be plugged in rather than battery powered though, but other than that it’s perfect.
For it to be battery powered it kinda has to be e ink screen.
