Zach still and always my all time favorite THP hunter/videographer just a larger than life happy fella !! Killer woodsman , caller , navigation all around sportsman!! Way to help a guy get his first Tom 👍👍
Way to go Jacob! And Zach it’s hard to be patient when you can only hunt a half day. Something in your brain says I’m running out of time I gotta make this happen. Great job staying on him! 👍
I know you've learned a few things by now. Your struggling has kept me on the edge of my seat.. So glad you finally did it. Someday it'll be your turn to pass it along.
Congrats to all you guys. Best job with responding for a young mans first turkey. I am old and slower now and learned the lesson so many times to be patient. Hard for us as humans sometimes.
When I was younger, id run across that hollow after that bird too. How many times I’d get over there and he would gobble back where I started. Patients pays off. Set up a decoy and get hidden. There’s a time to run after them but more often than not sitting tight is the answer.
Seeing the growing pains of a new turkey hunter & finally everything comes together, just so awesome guy's. Congratulations Jacob & I'm proud of you for keeping head up, not letting the frustration get to you & keeping pressing on. Great job man very proud of you, as well as Zach & Keith great job guy's a true team effort I love to see it. Great hunt fella's, God Bless y'all!
Man, I hunt some private that bumps up against the Homochitto National Forest in Mississippi and you guys make this look so easy! I've just found yalls channel recently and want to say incredible work. Bunch of good ole boys just having a good time, that's what hunting is all about right there. Congrats on the first bird, I bet you're hooked now! Lol
I've noticed you all have slightly different calling styles. Personally I will often go super aggressive cutting at a bird gobbling à lot. It's like I'm trying to piss him off by calling over the top of his gobbling. Every situation is different and it's really great to see the way you guys adapt.
And THAT is why you hang in there and hold your head high. Way to go Jacob! I did notice you slapped the trigger hard, please understand I’m not calling you out just noticed it. As hunters we should all try to help each other if we see something that someone could improve on. And also receive all critiques in a positive way. Hopefully it helps you in your future adventures. Great job guys! And I know Jacob will have many more successful hunts due to y’all’s skill being shared
Congratulations!!!! One thing I saw that caught my eyes was slapping that trigger. It’s always great learning from y’all gentlemen so had to give a tip back. But another successful hunt to tell the younger generations!!!
Persistence was the key for you young man. I have never seen someone get so many chances at turkeys and not be able to close the deal for whatever reason so that says a lot about zach's calling abilities. Now that you got the skunk out of the bag they should come easier next time. Congrats Jacob on a well earned Tom.
Lots of things can contribute to a successful hunt, And it would have been successful even if it flew away the second time. Selecting a wrong set up or taking time to build a proper hide can either make or kill an opportunity for a shot. I know because I think I make a new mistake each I go out! Congrats Jacob on your first turkey. It was a fantastic hunt.
I was beginning to wonder how many birds spooked it was gonna take before getting it done. Sitting up that tight to the lip is tough!!!! Especially for a rookie hunter. Way to stay with it
I lately just turned on to your videos and haven't watched that many yet, I'm from Ohio and so far have not heard you mention WHAT public hunting area you are hunting in other than the name of the state, is there a reason for that???? The latest video of yours I watched you were SOMEWHERE in Ohio, I would like to know where in ohio you have and are hunting, I am always up to trying new places in my home state. Like your videos and thanks fellas
Man I need a turkey caller buddy like Zach. I try and try every year, but can't ever get them to break the last 10-20 last needed yards to seal the deal.
Congratulations, glad you finally got a bird. I have to say though, I watch your turkey videos and it is very frustrating not seeing the turkey. If we are lucky we get to see a head before the shot. What is the reasoning for not using a decoy? I'd love to get a better look at the turkey - there's nothing better than seeing a Tom come in and strut with the sun shining on those feathers. Also, after you shoot, you rarely show a close up of the beard!
A buddy of Keith's from high school. They have hunted together in the past. It was just my first time getting to spend time in the woods with him. I really enjoyed it!
Long story short. Called in two gobblers traveling together. Shot the first bird at maybe 25 yards and watched it fly off. The 2nd bird standing right beside him ran off. Sitting there disgusted, one of my friends called my cell. Thinking the hunt is OVER, I am sitting there talking quietly on the phone, and the bird that ran off started gobbling? I set up on it and killed it.
The numbers are really down in most places. A farm we hunt that usually would give up 4 or 5 birds, we only heard 2 gobbles total last year. Never even saw a bird.... things have gotten bad
The last few seasons here in Ohio have been rough some counties fare better then others but as a whole our bird population is down we’ve had some bad hatches the past few seasons but last hatch was supposedly good so maybe things will turn around
The weather was perfect those first few days. What we didn't show was the next three mornings and how we didn't hardly hear a gobble. I really think the weather was the main factor in all the action.
Zach still and always my all time favorite THP hunter/videographer just a larger than life happy fella !! Killer woodsman , caller , navigation all around sportsman!! Way to help a guy get his first Tom 👍👍
I was hoping to see this video pop up after seeing his first couple swings. Congrats Jacob! You had the right company along to get it done!
Way to go Jacob! And Zach it’s hard to be patient when you can only hunt a half day. Something in your brain says I’m running out of time I gotta make this happen. Great job staying on him! 👍
Congratulations Jacob, you’re now officially a Turkey hunter and there’s no other feeling like it. Y’all worked for that bird.
While watching, I’ve started catching myself leaning my head in an attempt to see the turkey behind a tree
I do the exact same thing...
Me too
Good stuff men!!!! Nothing like watching a new turkey hunter get his first bird! Congrats!
Congrats Jacob! Way to go guys! Endeavor and persevere!
Stay safe,
Cubby
Zach is a awsome hunter ! I have hunted turk for 30 years, and learn somthing every vidio from zach and the THP ! THANKS TO ZACH AND THE THP !!!
Hard work pays off. Congrats Jacob
Nothing can be more frustrating than a new turkey hunter but at the same time it's the most rewarding and memorable at the end
I know you've learned a few things by now. Your struggling has kept me on the edge of my seat.. So glad you finally did it. Someday it'll be your turn to pass it along.
Awesome guy’s. Congrats Jacob on your first 🦃 bird. Definitely a week you won’t forget.
One thing I've learned - patience and stay put! Give the turkey some time to show you what they plan to do before moving on them. LOL - love you guys!
Congrats to all you guys. Best job with responding for a young mans first turkey. I am old and slower now and learned the lesson so many times to be patient. Hard for us as humans sometimes.

It's all situational!
Way to stay in it boys. Good calling Zach.
Some Georgia Toms won’t walk up a hill or down a hill for a hen and that Tom did twice- that amazed me. Of course, the Hunters amaze me, too.
Seeing the growing pains of a new turkey hunter & finally everything comes together, just so awesome guy's. Congratulations!!!! One thing I saw that caught my eyes was slapping that trigger. It’s always great learning from y’all gentlemen so had to give a tip back. But another successful hunt to tell the younger generations!!!

Congrats Jacob and Zach, you guys dug deep for that bird, way to stay on em!!
Nice work Jacob! Stuck with it! Seems like a great guy

LET'S GO! Great job Jacob, way to hang in there and not let things get you down!
Congratulations jacob..good job..
Love these turkey hunting videos! Im getting so pumped for turkey season keep it up THP!
That was a very difficult “easy” bird to kill. He wanted to be called in so bad but always threw a curve at you. Well done boys.
Congratulations Jacob!! You had a rough introduction, but you hung with it. That is what it takes!!
I think the turkeys are hearing Zach’s phone buzzing non-stop!!
I can't tell if Zack is happier in the deer or the turkey woods.
He's hooked, He be going turkey hunting again!!
It's tough for rookies to get it done. Good job guys.
Awesome! I always like the ones with Zack. I literally learned how to Turkey hunt from a guy I’ve never met. Haha
I was beginning to wonder how many birds spooked it was gonna take before getting it done. Sitting up that tight to the lip is tough!!!! Especially for a rookie hunter. Way to stay with it
Great job! Hitting the turkey woods for my first one this year.
In no particular order: Meateater, Tim Wells & you guys!

Zach's calling has gotten really good
Cover those ears!!! Good job and congrats on your first bird

Jake!!!! You need a little more emotion!!! lol 😂
Man I need a turkey caller buddy like Zach. I try and try every year, but can't ever get them to break the last 10-20 last needed yards to seal the deal.

They’re hunting public ground and don’t want to get shot.
I hunt public and use decoys.
Good luck to you lol
Awesome!
Love it!
Great stuff! Where in OH was this?
Another great video
How many birds y'all got to put in dis boys lap? We all gotta learn...
I learn more and more watching you guys. I am very quick to give up on a bird that I busted
Maybe I’ll try relocating my position and try him again
Sorry im late super pumped
Yooo did I just see a picture of Trey shredding on the screensaver of Keith’s phone?
Good🦃Job💪🏼🇺🇸💯THP
Let’s go another banger
27:22 👊✋
Hey that’s how you learn by making mishaps and mistakes don’t learn anything when everything goes perfect
Preach it. Expiriences > gear
I love it!
Looked like to much thick brush in front of your previous setups need more open area with shooter with face camo
As always, great video! Who is Jacob? Is a he a contest winner? If so, is there a video explaining that? I feel like I'm missing something...
A buddy of Keith's from high school. They have hunted together in the past. It was just my first time getting to spend time in the woods with him. I really enjoyed it!
I hope do get my first bird this year! Great video,
Good luck! Thanks for watching!

He slapped that trigger like it had insulted his mother.
Gobble Gobble
Is Zach originally from Ohio? Congratulations on your first bird hopefully many more after that.
Yes I am originally from Ohio.
Thanks for posting and responding. Again Great hunt. Congrats
Somebody needs to show Jacob how to properly shoulder a shotgun. Definitely why he missed his last 2 shots.
What brand are those leaf jackets? Great color and pattern.
www.northmountaingear.com/
Seems like plenty of birds there. Surprised they went to 1 bird limit this year
The numbers are really down in most places. A farm we hunt that usually would give up 4 or 5 birds, we only heard 2 gobbles total last year. Never even saw a bird.... things have gotten bad
