No teleprompter, ear piece , no autotune. Just rare talent that can’t be copied. This is the most raw performance of pure talent. The story goes this was unrehearsed and he was asked last minute to do this. Look at the reaction from the crowd when he hits those notes. Moving lyrics hit at the right time. Amazing
If you watch Conway after the first seemingly breathless vocals, the audience cheers and he seems to unassumingly look around to see what they are all giving accolades to, like he has no idea they are cheering for the sheer purity and raw talent they are witnessing.
I'm 35 and my mom RAISED me on this man's music 🎵. The emotion and power is soul wrenching. I remember when he passed. I was 6. Country will not ever be the same because legends like this don't exist. George Jones said it best. Who's going to fill their shoes?
I remember it too. Very well. I had just graduated HS and was on my Senior Trip. 1993 June. Too young. Truly a once in FOREVER talent. Just had to share. Conway😢
❤😢My mom loved Conway and Cash and I grew to love them as they have such emotion and great stories so what's not to love,All their Heart and Soul my mom loved my music like Tina Turner,Bj Thomas and The Beatles and so on but we loved all Genres of Music"Eminem", was my youngest son TJ.'s favorite but he loved country Music also Alan Jackson,George Strait,Alabama Joe Diffie"God Bless"Vince Gill ,Keith Whitley Hank Senior and Dwight Yoakam
The epitome of a southern gentleman, and a true country music entertainer, who had the whole package, and gave his all every single time he hit the stage. He had more talent in his pinky, than today's so called country music artists could only dream of. Take a lesson...this is how it's done! I love and miss him more than I can put in to words 💔
100% agree. At first they didn't consider him country, more or less pop if you will. That man was under rated, not giving the accalades or awards deserved. Did he make country hall of fame?. One of all time best. Blake Shelton does great version of his own on this song. You can tell he was clearly one of his favorites growing up. You can hear Conway in Blake's voice unintentionally I must add, especially in the course of this great song!
A good song is a good song... And when 2 guys filled with as much passion and soul as these guys proved over and over. Not to mention they could both Sang!! Give ya the stank face!
When Conway Tweety passed away suddenly he had more number one single hits in anybody in the music business anybody look it up more than Michael Jackson more than Def Leppard and I would have thought anybody would beat that but he had more number one single at the time of his life that anybody in the music industry didn't matter what rap soul country rock and roll
In the words of Vince Gill at George Jones funeral....They don't make those shoes anymore!!! I still get chills down my spine listening to this amazing man!
Saw him in concert with my dad 40 year,s ago . He walked out on stage and said "Hello Darlin" . The fans went crazy . I was so happy to take my daddy to see him , he was his favorite , mine to still .
It’s a shame, so many in this generation will never hear the purity - the true beauty of this man’s voice…. love love love Conway! He saved a lot of marriages with this song. A true legend.
Elvis may have been the King of pop ad he was incredible but there will never be another Conway Twitty. No one can rip your heart out like CT...no one will ever touch what he achieved..he was king of country, pop, rock and he probably could have rapped if he had tried. He was the best there ever was or ever will be.He would have kept on making hit records .He was only hitting his stride at 50. R.I.P
The only attributes anyone should take from Conway are not emulations! But if you take the gripping soul bleeding passion he displayed, mix it with experience and the ability to connect with his fans "LADIES"!! in those days! Then the grit kicked in and he left nothing to doubt. He gave it all to us!! Now if you can put all those things together without sounding like Conway. You might have a chance if you can sing too.
Conway Twitter IS in my opinion the best country music artist ever. He touched every woman's heart and soul with his words. He knew what a woman wanted to hear. AND that voice OMG, That voice, nothing today or ever will hold a candle to that beautiful man. Conway, I Looovvvee you. I can't wait to meet you up above..
what my first wife did to me was a lifetime ago, but when I hear Conway do this song it all comes flooding back and the hurt, betrayal and crippling heartache are just as real as ever..
My dad and I loved Conway.... At that time, I could do a decent Conway Impression. My Dad and I would be out on the Lake of the Ozarks, cruisin around on his pontoon boat in the middle of the night, women would be at the cabins we be listening to honky tonk music, and he'd say do Conway mannn!! I'd say Hello Darlin!! That's your Job! He'd lol every time! I miss that old fart!!
Great video of CT singing one of his best classic song. He pours all of his energy into this song. It just blows you away the life force that he puts into it.
Jeff Sartain so true you can see his face start to turn red with the all he put into this song, I loved and lived these songs, they were years ahead of me, but my oldest sister raised me on good music.
I loved him so much, my Aunt and I saw him every where he was within a 200 mile radius. This was at an awards show, this song took my breath! We met him several times, once with Loretta...Now he and my Aunt is gone.
This was on the country music award show, can you imagine the singer or singers that had to follow after this. Wow. Nobody ever could or ever will be able to sing like conway. Best friend a song ever had

Conway gives his all... Wow! He moves me everytime I her this song as I have walked away from a few relationships. I was not happy, and I saw my husband crawl on the floor drunk..... One too many times.... I lost all respect for my husband.... No love, no hope, no no,no... Done!
I grew up on old country and conway was an absolute legend. Im only just turning 30 but this kind of country was blasted all over my house as a kid and i thank my grandpa for introducing me to this music ❤
This song is timeless. It carries over as well today as it did back then. I miss Conway he was my mama's favorite singer. I miss her too as she has been gone since 1992. He always reminds me of wonderful times with mama.

This song breaks my heart everytime I hear it. You would think I wouldn't listen to it, but it's the song that my husband played the night before he asked me for a divorce. He even danced with me to that song. Then he played the famous final scene by Bob Seger. I knew my marriage was over that very night.
Don't have many regrets in life but I do regret not finding country music sooner in life...... I deeply regret seeing Conway in concert. Lost this treasure. Peace and love. From TN.
Conway did a concert at my high school football stadium way back in the seventies. It was the first of many concerts I've been to in my 64 years. It was also the best. Conway was the best male vocalist ever.
I was lucky enough to see this man many times. Even lucky enough to see him with Loretta. Conway and Milsap will always be my favorites. Thank goodness for men like Jeff Bates and Glenn Templeton who do their best to respect Conway's music and do it the way it should be done. They don't sound bad either.
I love this beautiful song by Conway Twitty! It is real, true country music and nobody does it better than Conway. Blake Shelton 's later cover of it was very, very good but no one can beat Conway Twitty! I'd Goodbye Time!
