The Cobras are amazing and phantastic sportcars!!!!!! Legends forever...!!!! But look at the TVR!!!!!!!!!! My heart beats for TVR, specially the Griffith!!!!!!! :-)
I loved mine. Had it in the early 70s. It had the Ford 260 V8 for some reason and the little double tailights in the back. Had to sell it to pay rent back then!!!
I would really like to know if that TVR is one of the 10 that were allowed to use the "Griffith " moniker . There were 6 left hand drive and 4 right i only know this as i was involved with the restoration of #6 . She is a beast!
@@1183newman it sure is my mentor and friend Steve Ferron was in close contact with Jack Griffith and i was there when this knowlege was passed down. As i said they were only for racing . We used to restore Griffiths im well aware of production numbers . Our last one was the 600 from the new your auto show sadly my friend passed away with it unfinished.
@@1183newman there were 10 TVRs produced specifically for racing by TVR and TVR asked Jack if they could use his name "Griffith" for the 10 TVRs and this is after the dockworkers strike so there were no more "Griffith's" coming into the states #6 that I restored came in after the dockworkers strike.
Right, hope this helps you... I found somewhere that the car in the video is an original car, described as the "first prototype of the updated Griffith and even raced at Goodwood in period..."
I know it's really a TVR, but every time I see it from behind, I can't help thinking "Mk 1 Ford Cortina." :-P Edit: Also, at 2:12 - I know it's really Romain Dumas, but I can't help thinking "Michael Palin" then doing a quick double-take." :-D

Cobra? Yes, the early Cobras had a 260ci 4V before the 289 became standard. Yours would have been a rare one!
TVR ❤

@@1183newman yes , only 10 were purpose built by TVR for racing.

Way more fun to watch than NASCAR...
william davis Well durgh! Why would you even comment this lol?
What was the car in first place?
Of these two or overall? It's a Cobra and a TVR Griffith in these two, and a Tojeiro was leading overall.
Goodwood Road & Racing - thanks. I couldn’t tell from the footage.
ZebsFrend Frendless I think you're right, it reminded me of a GT40
So nice cars, don't break it please... 🙏😉👍💯🏁🏎️🇨🇵
They'll crash if they don't brake!
