    Very informative thanks! Question : do you have the light strip facing outward? Or in towards the house?

      Thank you! I faced the light strip OUTWARDS.

    Great video. Your floor lights that point to your palm trees on video frame 16:05 are they plugged in to separate transformer from led strip?

    • @twHomeShow

      Yes. They are just 12v landscape lights. -Todd

    Sure would be nice if these guys would program their app to actually have holiday scenes. How about red and green for xmas, red white and blue for july 4th or maybe like purple orange and green for halloween for example. This is where they failed and its such an easy thing for them to fix

    Can these be wired to a switch? And will they retain the last setting without opening up the app to choose the correct color?

      These NOVASTELLA are pretty bright and have customizable "chasing" and multi-color functions....I had to sacrifice these awesome features of the NOVASTELLA lights on our Back screened porch, where I wanted BRIGHTER.....You can watch that video here: ruclips.net/video/KmvB8HxaWMs/видео.html
      I really like them BOTH!
      Hope this info helps. -Todd

    Hi Todd! Quick question, wanting to put these around the front of my house, however it’s 3 different sections. Is there anyway to cut and splice a cable extension to the next set of led strips?

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  2 года назад

      Hello Gil. No. These Novastella lights are not able to be spliced. I've used another brand on the Back screen. Those can't be splice either because I've found out that each section requires a direct-feed from the power. Otherwise, they will dim after an 80 ft. section.....down the line.

    Is it possible to connect 200 feet which would be two purchases in one strand because I will be placing the main connector on the side of the house where the electricity boxes to cover the whole front of the house I do not want to place it in the middle and have two different strands

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  2 года назад

      No. Each string needs it's own power supply 😞

    Any videos on putting these up around house by the gutters or under soffit?

    • @OrganixFarms
      @OrganixFarms Год назад +2

      I just put these up under my soffit. It was pretty easy to do. Simply screw the clear clips about every 1.5. You can make a little bend at any corners you may have without damaging the LED strip.

    Todd quick question. I just installed 60ft of led just about a hour ago before I discovered Nova stella. Do you know if I can keep these up ( 4 pin) and just connect the nova converter box? Basically 4pin to 4pin male and female-- Scratch that. The answer would be no. Number 1 the voltage regulator on mine is only 12v yours is 24v plus the 4pin connector is totally different.

    Todd, how easy are they to automate using Alexa?

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  2 года назад +1

      Hi John, I hope I wasn't misleading. I considered them smarter due to the smartphone APP control and RF controller. I have a Yolink smart outlet that I am using to set a daily schedule to turn them off-and-on. This will allow alexa to turn off-and-on with the Yolink outlet. Thanks for watching. -Todd

    • @dareaper187
      @dareaper187 2 года назад +1

      Todd, if you were to hook it up to a smart outlet and set it to a specific scene when you turn it off and on will it stay with that scene or would it automatically revert back to a standard color?
      The reason I'm asking that's what the holiday season coming up I'm looking for someone cheaper basically set it and forget it solution.

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  2 года назад

      Yes! They do retain the last scene you had them set to. That's how I'm using mine on a smart outlet schedule (daily) and they always return on to the same setting. So that's great! And then I'll just change the setting with each holiday season :) -Todd

    It is a "silicone" covering. The LED strip itself is NOT waterproof? The only thing that makes it waterproof is the silicone sleeve! Also, the only problem I forsee with this NEW, RGBIC technology is when "one" of the IC's (Independant Chips) go" kaput" (break down for short) the whole light strip will malfunction? Good luck hope they work long and well for you Thanks for the video
