    3⃣ Figure out Your Key Lighting First (04:52)
    4⃣ Add Fill Lights Next (06:48)
    5⃣ Use Realistic Materials (08:21)
    6⃣ Mind Your Background (11:02)
    7⃣ Choose Good Render Settings & Make a Few Easy Adjustments (12:08)

      I'm new to sketch up. My team is helping me learn and with yr videos it's extremely helpful. One of my suggestion is if you could make a video of what choice do we have regarding software ,like sketch up and and v ray. I'm using the studio pc and I cant figure out which program goes with what or work with which (the design team is too pro level for me). There are tons of add on and things that are available which I cant find when I just installed sketch up and v ray on my personal pc at home. And which is best for me? Should I dive in sketch up pro? But I'm just a beginner. I do event management so most of my 3d isn't as detailed as architecture drawing but I need photo realistic render for my client.

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  4 года назад +1

      @@mrbrightside3771 Since you are working professionally on an event design team, we recommend you start with SketchUp Pro. And because you need photorealistic renderings, V-Ray for SketchUp is a great choice.
      As far as other extensions: Before you worry about adding a bunch of extra tools, it's really important to get the hang of the fundamentals of SketchUp first. You can definitely learn those on your own (hopefully with help from your team), but if you want to get up to speed quickly and avoid wasting time or picking up bad habits, we recommend you take a look at our Video Course Library which has courses that will help you learn everything from the fundamentals, all of the way up to creating photorealistic renderings with V-Ray for SketchUp. great video and really helpful. is there anyway to scale down size of background images of HDR skies while using dome light? its a huge issue i fail because every time i use dome-light the background image is so cause it often never matches with the size of the model and gives me unrealistic renders

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  3 года назад

      There's not a way to scale down the size of an HDR image in a Dome Light. A workaround: If you want to control the size, create a dome shape in SketchUp, and apply a self illuminated material of the background image there, then you can scale the SketchUp dome and the texture will follow.

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  Год назад

      Yes, you can import an image to be the background in SketchUp and there are many reasons that can be a preferred workflow. But when it comes to having an easy way to control the appearance of the background later, it can sometimes be best to add it after the fact in Photoshop.

    How to deal with complete black image after render? What's wrong?

  • @eduardm1301
    @eduardm1301 3 года назад

    I installed vray but every render i made still pixelated. Is it my graphics card problem or something i missed in the denoiser?

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  3 года назад

      It could have to do with a few different things. The first thing to check is your render quality settings: If they are set to Low or even Medium, then you will have some pixelation. Of course, higher quality leads to longer rendering times, but when you are ready to create a final rendering the higher quality will help.
      Also, for the denoiser, you just need to have it turned on. The default settings should work fine in most cases.
      After those two things, if you still have a bit of pixelation, it can often be due to an issue with your lighting and exposure. If you have an imbalance there, it can lead to some graininess in the image.

    Whay my macbook pro 2020 with m1 chip render so slow?

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  2 года назад

      Macs can't render as fast as comparable PCs due to the fact that they don't have NVIDIA GPUs (which can be used to speed up the rendering process)

    Hello anyone
    My pc specs

      It looks like you might just be able to run older versions of Lumion at the minimum specifications... but you'll want to double check here to be sure: support.lumion.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036620353-What-are-the-system-requirements-for-Lumion-9-and-older-versions-

    How to render stainless steel kitchen ?

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  Год назад

      Apply a stainless steel material to the surfaces and render - of course, you'll need to adjust lights and get everything else right, but the stainless steel is just a matter of adding the correct material from V-Ray's material library.

    Can you change the language to Spanish in this software?

    • @SketchUpSchool
      @SketchUpSchool  3 года назад +1

      You have to download the Spanish version of the software upfront (you can't switch the English version to Spanish though once you have it... you would need to go back and download and install the Spanish version).
