I remember Juan beating very strong, high ranking male players in the fairly recent past such as Yijun Feng and Daniel Gorak, among others. Must be great to be coached by such a legendary player!
I also had issues with instructor voice in my video like yours until I bought a wireless microphone and asked the instructor to wear it or leave it next to them. Talking about voice issues has made me appreciate your efforts a lot more as there is a lot of work to add the coach's instruction afterwards. Thanks again.
Could you make a video about the backhand loop and the backhand counter? I have a good serve for that (I'm left-handed), but when the ball comes back, I always hit it into the net, especially when I want to put it down the line. when I turn out to forehand (pivot) and try to cross court, it also goes into the net.
@@kokoshtetand what about forehand and backhand topspin against fast long push? It is different technic, different timing, when you play against coach you make many mistake on fast long push
She saying to initiate the stroke with your hips. Basically use the force of thrusting your hip to hit the ball. Use hip first and then forearm follows it
great video. You are looking good. Are you still playing in a league or coaching at ping pod? Liu Juan is great. She is a penholder and plays better than us with her shakehand grip. I also watched her previous matches against men lik tom, kai, alguetti etc and she more than hold her own.
Thank you, can you elaborate on your question? I don’t quite understand, do you mean how to do topspin against different spins like topspin vs backspin, topspin vs topspin?
@@Человекмира-у8с you should always try to play in front of you if you can. Against topspin you can hit earlier and more forward. Against backspin you can wait a little and hit forward and upward

She did not mention anything about wrist. What she was trying to say is try to accelerate your forearm when contacting the ball to add power. She said you can do this acceleration by pinching your thumb and index finger at contact. Your wrist will move naturally when you do this but you don’t have to think too much about it

I have practiced this one before and coaches have always told me to take the timing earlier if the serve is fast. Your swing needs to be small, compact and quick @@Человекмира-у8с

Thanks for sharing these videos which show the real training and great fixes

Sure thing, I have video of my second lesson with Liu Juan where I did the backhand loop underspin followed with backhand counter. Stay tuned

You can take the ball later to your side then do a bigger swing
You can swing bigger with more power and still take the ball relatively early, you just need better timing and strong acceleration at contact.
Use your body instead of hand, you put too much stress on hand that slow down your swing, relax your hands and swing your arm by feet and body.
I think it would have been much better if you had translated what she was saying in the training session..
The AI voiceover is a summary of what she said during the lesson
