My humble attempt at this insane song! Don't worry about the tempo when you try this. I had to adjust my expectations too, as Tommy plays it more than 30 bpm faster than this... It will take most of us (including me) years to even get close. If you are looking for a technique building song, this is one should very high on your list!

I'd love a video where you talk about how you started out playing and how you got to where you are now. How old were you when you started playing? When did you realize it was a passion etc.
Thanks Jim! I used to be quite a busy freelance player, but nowadays the channel and video lessons are eating up almost all of my time (I'm also holding down a regular teaching job and I have two small kids). There are some changes on the horizon and I hope to be able to start playing live more again soon!

I actually know how to play this song, in my opinion this is harder than luttrell, mr sandman and many others, especially at this speed. It was a huge sense of achievement when I learned the entire thing.
Exactly! However, for me that alternate picked run in the middle of Luttrell will always be the "Tommy-lick" I fear most!
