The big one. This one will take some considerable time out of your schedule, even if this one is only the "core" medley and there are still a lot more songs to be added. But I do expect these two to be the most challenging, especially that ending section!

Him playing that very fast live is one of the first videos I saw where I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. I just tapped it out and it was over at a 16th notes @ 181 tempo. He was playing those bass notes faster than I can tremolo pick with a plectrum, truly unbelievable.

I actually had to relearn parts of Day Tripper because I learned them wrong many years ago... and I really have to make sure I don't fall back into those older habits! So it's still showing then 😅
I can't say that I've watched all of your videos but, I've never seen you that focused. I know why, of course lol. I can't even get the first trick of getting the fingers and thumb independent. Tommy has set the bar higher than it has ever been, in my opinion, but there you are reaching it.

Nice one Tim! I have been working on this and having another fluent example will be very helpful, Thanks! This one is very difficult especially the intro, it took me a week to get the syncopation down. Great feeling when you do get it tho!

Hey Tim, Your lessons are incredibly helpful. Thank you for doing what you do. But I notice one thing in your playing, which is that you are too rigid. It sounds almost robotic. You could free up a lot more and it would sound so much better. Thanks once again.
I'll definitely keep my eye on that, but on songs like these I'm really chasing the tempo (like everyone else). I'm curious to hear of you think the same thing of my playing when I'm playing a ballad!
@@TimVanRoy I believe its specifically with fast songs where I feel the sound is robotic. I think you do a great job with ballads.

No, the tempo is just right
I do understand, there are versions where Tommy plays it MUCH faster, but also where is roughly at this tempo. I checked the original Beatles tunes and this seemed like a good "in-between" compromise!
