Let’s see how many Kawasaki 2 strokes fans there are! Every video like = a 2 stroke lover!
When I worked for Kawasaki the KDX200 was my go to trail bike. Loved it.
Hard to beat the legendary kdx as a woods bike!
I had,one and my brother had one. Loved those bikes. I also had a ton of fun on the KX125.
@@mikepalmer1971
The only 4st I'll keep in my garage is a CRF230. 2 smokes for life!
They were a great little bike in their day , they were a top choice for riders who enjoyed the country lanes .
can anything be more fun than a KDX200 back in the day?!
Never been a big Kawi fan. But seeing another manufacturer start making 2 strokes again makes me unbelievably happy.
Two strokes of genius! Carburetors forever!
Long live ol reliable!
Carbs are OUT.......for.......ever.
@@RIPPERTON
Betas and Sherco don’t know that. TBI Fuel injection Kawasaki please
Carbs aren't efficient
I've been a long time Kawi 2 stroke fan and would absolutely love a new Kawi 2 stroke. Carbureted in a 200cc and 300cc wide ratio 6 speed.
Kdx400 would be amazing. I can already get a 300 offroad bike.
It would be amazing to see a Kdx300. Back in the day there were way more enduro/ off road bikes than motocrossers. It would be awsome to have more good affordable trail bikes.
KDX 300 would be unreal. Hydraulic clutch like a KTM also!
I hope our dream comes to fruition!!!
@@AaronsEnduroI’d sell my 300 Ktm in a heartbeat.
@@TheTacticalHouseSold mine and bought a Rieju 300 Pro. Absolutely love it. The carb is fantastic, e start, kickstart and premix with fantastic KYB suspension.
Hydraulic clutches are not as good cable
I'm right with with you buddy I been riddin a kdx200 for 25 years. Inly thing I hope they stay away from is efi
2 smokes are back baby!
The greatest comeback!!!
The biggest hurdle will be price. If they keep it under everyone else, it will stand out and have great sales.
I agree to that!
Absolutely. They must keep pricing below other bikes. 👍
That's not happening LOL. Prices will be high .
My 2024 gasgas 300ex has just been the best bike I've ever ridden. So smooth, the power is manageable, and it just rips on the trails.
Ive owned a 2002 kdx220 now since 09 love the bike, just fully rebuilt the motor last fall. lots of rough mountain trails on it, it goes anywhere my friends 300 smokers go. But i sure wish i had e- start. A kdx 300 with electric start and a headlight would be awesome! I would be in line for that bike!
The two stroke never left. Kawi just dropped the ball for 20 years.
Agreed!
So did everyone else apart from yamaha
If Kawasaki copied the Beta 300, carbed, counter balanced, 300, electric start, KYB or good Showa spring fork, they'll sell a ton because they're Japanese. But they won't be sold in CA.😂
I agree with you on that!
We can buy Beta, and KTM 2 stokes in CA.
@@josephfriedling9190with fuel injection
Japan catered to the California moto club to a fault. They really dropped the ball when it comes to the enduro crowd.
When Newsom is out and the Executive orders are in CA will become the state that it was before! 🙏
4 strokes have ruined the off-road market (for me) 4 strokes have driven out the small guy in motocross. With teams having budget problems bring back 2 stroke mom and pop team's along with displacement match ups 250 2 stroke against 250 4 strokes in all levels of motocross would be a smart move. I miss the entry level 125 class too, which was the breeding ground for young riders.
@@verbalwidget0919 bring back the 2 strokes!!!
Sadly the two strokes will cost the same I bet.
@ maintenance will be much less and greater longevity .
I like both. Choice is good and I'm excited for new 2 strokes. Save efi for other brands. Carburetors aren't that bad. Most importantly, keep price down. If the new 2 strokes costs 13k (think orange) then I'll stay on a 4 stroke. Yamaha missed the bus on 250x - it's $800 less than fx! The X should be at least $2k cheaper than FX.
Amen
James Stewart might just have to come back to racing!!! LOL , James was FAMOUS for kicking butt on his KX125 back in the day!
They sell 5 KTM 300 Enduro bikes to every one MX bike do the math it's very easy it would make money on Enduro bikes cuz that's the average Joe right on
Right! But its easy enough to turn an MX-er into a Woods Weapon! Long Live the 2-Stroke - Now make 'em BIG BORE!! KD500, CR500 - Hell to the Yeah!!
A 300 is enough @@rkbyrd4432
Please bring back KDX200 2 stroke best trail bike ever.
Not the biggest Kawasaki fan but I love the fact that a Japanese manufacturer like Kawasaki are gonna bring the 2 stroke back so I’m all game!
Kawi has always had the worst reliability between the Japanese brands . Yamaha and Honda have the best reliability .
@@herbcanter2114 Suzuki has entered the chat.
@@herbcanter2114that's not true. First off Honda are only reliable because yeah it's a Honda and they make no power
@@Marleysdad808Suzuki quads are unmatched
@@waylonlegend4603 quads lol. Unless it’s a jump, quads are gay.
Long live the 2 stroke there is a God been waiting! 💥🙏
A KDX300 would be absolutely sick! Had a 97”220 and it was a great trail bike, but when really pushed the suspension was limited. Carb,e-start and hydro clutch. I’d buy one.
Modern day kdx would be so damn cool
This is what I'm looking for. A modern 'KDX 300' with proper suspension, e-start. Carb or fuel injection? Eh, idk yet. Big pros and cons to both. Either or I could work with it
Yes, they will sell. Should have been done 10/12 years ago! Go to a local Cross Country race. Line up is Orange 2 strokes!!
agree to that!
I have the KDX400 and I made it reed cage efi. Starts first kick rain or shine. I hope they go big again like they did the first time.
So sweet!
Two stroke! 🇧🇷🚀
I’d love to buy a KDX300, 6-speed, carb and electric start!
I think that would be awesome!
Hydraulic clutch while we're at it. Good to go.
2 strokes for the win. I have a italion 2t now. Euro smokers have bin around long time. What took Japan so long? Good times to be a rider!! Love this!
I got to ride that KTM/Kawasaki 500 you have in your picture a few years back. Killer bike
Great update Aaron! My kids and I have had the kdx200, kx 60, kx 125, kx250f over the years. As for Carb or Fuel Injection I'd like to see a carb with metering rod technology with the idea of keeping is simple but functional. A Fuel injection version could be introduced later. I think having reliability and functionality to gain traction in this segment would be paramount. I'm stoked to see Japan interested in 2T as you mentioned. These comments are from a long time yz 2t both track and hard enduro/offroad builds, I suppose we're looking through a green and blue lens, and enjoy both machines. There is something to be said about having simple bikes that are reliable when you're miles from the truck! Keep the info flowing and thanks for
That metering rod would be sweet!
Smokers FOREVER!!!
Long live 2 smokes!
The most important thing to me is electric start because of hip replacement. The carburetor is not as big an issue but if they wanna go all out and do oil injection that’s fine. Keep hydraulic clutch also.
Electric start is non-negotiable. Its gotta have it!
Still have a KDX 220 (along with a KTM 500 EXC and a Yamaha TW200). Great bike - so much fun to ride.
The KDX is a classic!
Crank Case injection is better than Throttle body injection.
TPI WAS crank case injection because fuel was injected on the piston down stroke when the T ports were shut by the piston.
So no air flowing up the T ports during injection and the injectors were aimed directly at the crank rotors.
I'll believe it when I see it!!!
Not a Kawasaki guy, but when one of the big 4 brings back a 2 stroke I’m on it!
Bring back the 500's!
A KDX400 or 500 would be amazing. Nobody else selling the big bores id have to buy one.
That would be interesting but will never happen. 300 is as big as it's going to get in the modern mainstream 2 stroke world
@eastwood4006 why do you think so? I heard that beta was bringing a 350 smoker to market.
I want a kdx 300 with carb electric start and no air fork and no oil injection and add hydraulic clutch and not over priced if they do that they won’t be able to get them built fast enough to keep up for the first 2-3 years
I like the vision!
Agreed
Way back in the day… circa 1969 Kawasaki released the 238 Green Streak 2 stroke motocross bike to the US market, I believe it was their first green motocross bike, for the day it was a rocket ship.
A 2025 238 Green Streak rerelease would be marketing genius.
Not to mention cool as hell!
They should make a KX300 TBI or TPI for the track and put a wide ratio gearbox, 18" rear wheel, heavy flywheel and call it a KDX300. I'd buy em both
honestly i think they should have a budget version that’s carbonated then have a more expensive efi bike kind like what Yamaha did for the yfz’s
Thatd actually be sweet!
@ ya i think they’d make more money from it to because it allows an average person to get one also instead of one bike that’s 12k have one at like 8 to match Yamaha
that would split sales and the injected would be a lost cause. they should just pick a lane and stay in it if they want to make it successful and not be a 1-2 year run before they just shut down and go back to just 4 strokes.
@@redneckrestos just depends on how much profit or not they could make at what given price point
Carbureted, not fizzy beverage😂😂😂
Loved the Kdx. Had a kdx200 when i was 13!
They’re such a sweet bike!!
kawa powa!
You got great enthusiasm and you look like Richy Cuningham .
Not the first time someone says that lol
Hell yes! Bring back all 2 stroke!! Not just one particular cc brink back the kx 80,125,250 carburator.
Gimme all the 2 strokes
You forgot the 500.
There was a long period of time the KDX 200(later the 220) was the most popular off-road dirt bike !
The KDX was a beast!
Sounds great , yes to carburetor & very reliable yet affordable as KAWASAKI used to be . Will today's young be afraid of a 2-stroke like we've never had before , we all will see . PLUS design them with kick-starters .
That would be the dream!
True story, I had a 93kx 250 pro circuit and renthal everything. Kiedrowski copy best I could replicate, we had to put a moose racing heavier flywheel on it to tame it back down. My last race I took 3rd in both motos. That bike was seriously powerful 🔥
What a weapon!
Yamaha and Ktm make 2 strokes. Everyone makes it sound like Kawasaki is back with the only two stroke bike lol.
Sooooo hyped man 🎉
Bigggg hyppeee
They need to bring out a 500 enduro 2 stroke and a 350 2 stroke enduro both carby fed and oil injection as an option not as standard, road registerable. Just my opinion
I'm with you on that!
new kawi put a carb on it keep it simple
Simple is best
Hell yeah, hope the other Japanese manufactures follow their lead. Maybe suzuki could save themselves. Maybe put e-start on a two stroke 😂
hopefully!
Carburetor super reliable, electric power valve and electric start with KICK start! I have a 2022 Sherco 300 SE and after close to four years of riding and over 160 hours NO ISSUES!
Sherco and beta seem to have the best of new tech with good reliability!
I had a feeling it was a response for Yamaha on the Off-Road schemes.
Not only were getting the old Premier Class of 125 and 250 I’m pretty sure they want to be all in and take KTMs Lunch Money with their KDX!
Never thought in million years any of the Japanese Coming back with Two Strokes (We still love you Yamaha).
Unfortunately Yamaha has gone complacent as they haven’t their Bike Chassis and frame up to their 4 Stroke Model.
I watched the announcement before going to SuperCross at A2 and when that announcement came on, the Crowd rallied and hype was all around.
Kawasaki just won I and so many others back i started on a KX100 but had to move over to a TC125 ‘23 (5’6 at 130 LBS).
Yamaha is going to have to update their line up and get with the times to compete with their old Friend Kawasaki! 🙏
Big moves from the Japanese manufacturers!!
Ah man I'm hoping for a carbed kx125. If so I'll be getting one.
I hope they do too!
I love my 23 beta 300. I'm still a carb fan. If kawi can make it e start, 6 speed, hydraulic clutch, it should be good
Kehein carb, counter balanced engine, 300cc. Kyb sss. Good as it gets for xc or he
Would be soooo good
Thear are plenty of old 2 stroke motocrossers around still but what we need is a on off road enduro that we can modify to fly on backrooms on
Agreed!
I had to build my own one lol
Bring back Kdx 200
Hopefully!
I’d love to see a fuel injected 300, maybe a 200 too!
Have a KDX. If they put a kicker and a magic button on a new 2smoke and keep the price similar to the yzx, it'll be YUGE!
YUGGGEEE
KDX 300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring it!!
New kdx is the dream!!
I want a carbed KDX 300. Estart and kick start. Fuelies arent reliable enough long term.
That’s what I’m talking about!
I think that they have to bring back 2 cycle to survive. The used bike market is what drives future sales much like with automobiles. When a 25 year old 125 brings 2x the money of a more modern 4 cycle there is a problem and I think they recognize that. A clapped out 125 or 250 2stk can be completely refreshed front to rear and top to bottom for less $$$ than the cost of a 4stk engine overhaul and it can be done by most semi-competent home mechanics. It ain't just nostalgia that drives the 2stk craze.
2 Strokes for Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Electric start - lets start there…
Hard enduro 2T’s most essential upgrade opposed to carb vs injection.
With Ktm's current money problems, it would be stupid for kawasaki not to get into the Enduro platform.
That’s what i thought too!
This is so freaking cool!
Soooo cool!
I know carbs well, but if they can make the fuel injection easily tunable, I’m all for it.
It s about time!
Sure is!!
I love the Kawasaki 2 strokes I can't wait go 2 strokes Kawasaki
They should revive the KDX. I bet it would out sell a motocross bike.
I think so!
@@AaronsEnduro And God something that's not a KTM.
Keep it simple CARBURATOR ! 100%
Hard to beat the simplicity of carb!
Nice and all. I love 2 strokes in general, but nothing could excite me like hearing that Honda is bringing back the CR lineup!! Let's do this Honda!!!
Cmon team Honda!!
Kawasaki rocks
Kawasaki never announced they were bringing back 2-strokes. All they said was "we hear you". Could be the biggest April fools joke ever. While I can appreciate the excitement, I guess we gotta wait and see. The bikes I think they really need first is a 50cc race mx bike to compete with the KTM's & Cobra's & a 300cc enduro bike, e-start, counterbalanced, hydraulic diaphragm clutch & high output stator. Second round of bikes could be updated 65, 85, 112 mx bikes that are 30 years outdated. Finally the classic KX 125 & 250.
And they better beat Yamaha to the 300 enduro because 9 out of 10 will chose a Yamaha over a Kawi....IMO
You should make a video on beta wan them possibly making a 350 2 stroke
@@henkvisser8519 its in the works!
Love my 2025 KTM XCW 300, If the Japanese get in the game it will be great times for the ring ding fans!
Carb, kickstart, old school, mix ur own gas, 250cc
@@JosephRenzetti cant go wrong with that!
The Japanese need to do it properly!!! I have a mate the owns a Yamaha dealership and ive told him if they do the YZX properly order me one!!! If kawasaki does it first ill order one. The last Japanese 2 stroke i had was a 2008 KX 250 and ive riden KTM since they just come standard with all the bits I would want to put on a off-road KX or YZ 2 stroke.
Smart carb baby! LFG!
300KDx, carb only if they make it where changing jets is accessible & easy, otherwise FI.
500 Street Legal
Thatd be sweet!
Honda woods cutter would be nice.
Couldn’t agree more!
Honda corporate always hated 2 strokes, and they haven't made a good woods bike since they discontinued the xr400. Don't hold your breath.
@anonymousanonymous8306 who knows, if the other jap brands are making killer sales i cant imagine they wont want a slice of the pie
CR500AF!! Hell Yeah! Turned my '01 Service Honda CR500AF into a Woods Weapon. I'm still riding it 24 years later!
@@AaronsEnduro Killer sales aren't happening .
If KDX 300, will buy.
No fuel Injection. I'd like to see a simple bike like Yamaha. At least if its carburated you can buy a SmartCarb or a lectron.
A stock smartcarb would be cool!
Thatd be wicked too! Best of both worlds
@@AaronsEnduro YA analog and self tune! Do it kawa!
I think kawi should partner up w LECtron and come up w an all new model specific carb for the bike and develop that like a new system and possibly simplify or refine the carb into a user friendly yet extremely versatile carb that doesn't require conventional jetting but isn't exactly fuel injection either.....a kx300 or 350 w aluminum chassis I think will b optimal size to put a serious contender at beating modern day 450s...and at 350cc the bike will still rev and be tuned for broad power and be competitive, and think if they went cc for cc and did a 450 or 500 two stroke, it would be too powerful and intimidating to be able to go into production and have that vast spread of age demographics from beginner to pro that makes a modern bike such a success such as the infinitly diverse yz250 has done all these years and still remains competitive in amateur ranks and always fun never boring hearing a 2 smoker sing as it hits the breaking bumps and whoops , getting traction, breaking traction, sound waves echoing, panic rev sounds over every jump, def needs to bring the excitement back
300cc, 6 speed, electric start and Enduro suspension(or at least a softer MX suspension)
I agree with you on those specs!
If the red machine won't get it together and let out a 2 stroke I would by 2 brand new kdx 500 today. Please please please. Electric start would be awesome as well.
Kx 125 and kx 250 and kx 500 buy them new now !!order placed!!
Gotta collect them all!
I will ABSOLUTELY sell my 2016 KX250F for a brand new KX250. Oh fuck yeah, bud!
Lets hope it gets a carb less crap to fail im the middle of nowhere .
@@darrylnicholson1640 i do love me a good carby!

im sure hoping for one!
I want it to be carberated because its easier to work on and 2 strokes are known to like carbs more. Use a big float bowl, and make the bike easy to work on. Trick out the power valve and pipe, use some new tech.
Go carb, but use the new Smart Carbs.
KX 550elec start FI big bores
i hope that they built a 300cc 2 stroke that you can put a 500cc kit on it
Now were talking!!
I have no intention of buying a kx but, for a purely selfish reason, I hope Kawasaki ignore all the people saying it should be counter balanced, estart, map switched, FI, etc, etc. The reason being I've seen the Moto scene shrink quickly in the last 5yrs. All the race series I used to do have stopped and none have replaced them. You used to go to a different practice event at least twice a month. Now, it's the same several places for a shorter period of the year. I've turned up to tracks and the turn out be poor at times despite the fee not going up with inflation.
People are broke. Keep the bikes cheap. Let the aftermarket fill in the gaps.
This I would buy. And carb.
These bikes will sell out so fast.
@@RCGC01 i think so!
