I hope they have better fuel consumption than the YZ. The fact that Yamaha launched the YZX with the same fuel tank as the MX bike was already an insult, now with the latest model, it got even worse with the smaller tank! But besides that, the consumption of the Yamaha engine is very high compared to any European of the last 15 years, including those with carburetors! Which makes them use ridiculously large fuel tanks on Yamahas.
For the price of re using the old parts it's not really worth it. They junk all those parts and blueprints years ago. They'd be starting from scratch with a old kx they bought from Facebook and taking measurements 😂..jus redesign it
100% chance it would be all new. Someone posted a theory on the 250 4 stroke sharing frames with the 2 stroke bike. Or Kawasaki is setting us up for the biggest April fools joke .....

in the teaser, kawi said, "we heard you," which would make you think there will be a full-size bike since all the people asking for 2-strokes are adults.
Gotta be a big deal, otherwise they wouldn't make that kind of announcement. I'm thinking at least kdx/kx 125/250, maybe a 300 if they want to beat Yamaha to the punch. I think kdx as well with Yamaha and the 250x/125x they have out now
@justincoats7236 nah, with that kind of announcement and demand in the market they'll do a whole lineup, at least 125/250 and a 300 if they want to beat Yamaha to the punch. Wild card would be if they went all in on a 200 or an in-between of the 125 and 250.
That smile on Mr. Payton`s face, was more like a Cheshire cat grin. Hes such a brilliant human being. I cant wait to hear him open up about what is really coming. And, to see him work his genius magic on it. Its going to be all team green now. They are setting a new and, higher bar.
I seen a video online that looked legit. The guy was pointing out how the new 2025 model 250/450 has spots on the frame for new motor mounts. And they redesigned the front tube that comes off the steering stem that branches off and goes under the engined. The spot it branches off at is higher this year, which would allow for a 2 stroke expansion chamber to come out of the front. Makes sense they would reuse a frame already in use instead of developing a completely new one
The MX market is very limited and competitive, the growing market is the off-road bush riders guys which would buy good numbers of KDX 200 and KDX 300 models. Needs electric start, side stand, 18” rear wheel, and not too high in the seat. Needs to be a real off-road bike, not a 2 stroke version of the KLX range
YES! The KLX models are very lame. KLX300 use to be a great bike, especially amongst shorter riders. But they need to put out a real deal KDX woods weapon
Great video, never thought of little bikes and I think keeping it simple with a carb will make the most potential consumers happy. Most guys don't race and just want to have fun..
@@matthoggy.20 if you don't think that people from all over the world want a KDX 300, then you haven't been paying attention. It would outsell a KX globally. Hopefully we can get both with the same basic platform like the KTM SX and XC

KDX200 and 300 woods bikes and KX125 and 250 motocross bikes. Electric start and carb for sure. Kickstand on the woods bikes. Premix or not is fine with me.
If they don't make s 500, it will be as big a mistake as Yamaha made not producing the YZM500. A modern KX would keep the liquid cooled and powervalved 499cc engine, but coupled with a 6-speed and a manual decompression head for even easier starting than the original (that actually starts pretty easily as-is) keep it carbed & simple.
Just make them all 50,65,85,112,125,250,300,500, and have the 125 and up be cross over bikes for woods riding. All of them fuel inj kyb, and you still mix gas no seperate gas/oil mix and bring back the flo green colors.💪💯👍✌️🔥

I just want a Motocross model so bad. I would love it if they would utilize the KX 250 F frame If the two-stroke engine revs in the initial announcement or anything to go by it definitely sounded like a 250 at least
It will be interesting to see what route they choose. I’m thinking enduros would be their best money makers. Then you got Cody Webb riding for team blu in hard enduro on the 250x and they seem to be very receptive to the mods he’s done. Maybe a new bike coming in a year or two from them. Plus GYTR parts for hard enduro, for the current 250X would most likely come first. Either way having the Japanese interested in reviving 2 strokes is a win.
Since it is a big step for a youngster to go from a 85/105/112 big wheel to a 250 two or four stroke, I would rather see a 125 first, but at the same time they do need to update the 65/85/112 and add 50. A 250 could have a powerparts 300 head, cylinder, and piston available.
I think it will probably be an enduro model, probably around 250/300cc. Basically an updated KDX 200. The enduro market is currently the biggest market for 2-strokes, so this makes the most sense from a business standpoint. I always believed manufacturers could sell more Enduro bikes if they made them street-legal, as this gives the customer more areas to ride and helps appeal to a wider audience. Most Enduro bikes used to come street-legal from the factory, and they sold like hotcakes. Unless it's direct-injected or Kawi figures out a new way to re-vamp the 2-stroke engine to be better on emissions without fancy electronic injection systems, it will most likely not be street-legal, unfortunately. However, they can try what Beta did and include lights, speedo, horn, etc, and pre-wiring for blinkers to make it easier for customers to register their bikes for street use down the line. I believe more people will buy the bikes if they do this. The KDX lineup could range from 50 to 500cc for desert riders. Also, if Kawasaki ever decides to revive the KFX line, they could just use the KDX engines and tweak them for use in a sport quad. That way they'll have a unique product on the market and also finally provide competition to Yamaha's sport ATV. KFX 500 anyone?
To satisfy all the dreams, here’s the ultimate new Kawi 2-stroke list. KX50,65,85,112,125 motocross bikes. All new and updated. Best to take care of the young kids and up-and-comers. KX250- maybe new, OR maybe a re-release of the old model at a great price would be freakin killer. A KX250 isn’t competing with the 4-stroke motocrossers, so just make a good bike at a great price for the average dude. Then an all new KDX line. 200 with a 220 big bore kit option to satisfy the OG KDX fans, then a 250 with 300 big bore to better compete with European off-road models. KYB suspension. E-start WITH KICKSTART TOO. Carb. Kickstand. SOFT SEAT. And a headlight, or at the very least, wiring behind the number plate to add a headlight if wanted.
Would definitely be cool to see a KDX300 or something of the sort come in to compete with the Austrian trail bikes. Obviously would also love to see a 125 and 250 race bike
Kawasaki Should bring 125 and 250 however they should bring Options with Classic Two Stroke (Carb, Kickstart) and Modern Two Stoke (TBI, Electric Start) has to be a significant amount for the tech added. They need to get sales first on their Mx Line up and then update their KDX Lineup and gather data for what works with the Off-Road Bikes. Still is great for the sport and will put Ducati in a hole as they just put all their Development in their 4 Stroke Line. 😅 Yamaha has yet to update their 2 Stroke Models up to their 4 Strokes. Fuck YES!! 2 Strokes!!! Whoop! Well it’s about fucking time!! Better brakes please. Sell both fuel options. Newer better carb jetting and programmable EFI. Love it 😍
As much as I think about it will probably be a 50cc but I think it would be a big miss not to bring back big bike two strokes. Also could be a revamp to 65.
Kawasaki has never stopped making the smaller 2 strokes, maybe not a 50, but they have the other ones available. They need the 125,250 and 500. then a bonus maybe a 150 to fully compete with a 250f
EFI, a good working system. I had enough hours jetting and cleaning carbs. But with a kickstarter as backup. 50cc-300cc! More 2T all the way. I Take the 300 any day. And sell my sons Husky 85 to get a kx85
Mitch Payton knows it’s not a 50. And then he says 85?? 😅 Kawi heard us all and they’re gonna bring back the KX85 for us (that never left) 😂. It’s a new bike! A 50 would be so cool to add to the lineup too, but I am guessing it will be 1 or 2 platforms that can also be easily offered to the off-road/cross country/enduro markets similar to YZ/X. It actually seems smartest to focus on off-road with a 2T these days and take some of the KTM market share. KX/KDX 125 or 150 but for sure 250 or 300. And I’m just sayin it right now, I bet it is electric start and counter balanced.
I'm a simple man. just give us a 125 and 250! id like to see e-start and efi and all the bells and whistles but a carb bike with a kick starter wouldn't disappoint me.

As much as I think about it will probably be a 50cc but I think it would be a big miss not to bring back big bike two strokes. Also could be a revamp to 65.
Kawasaki has never stopped making the smaller 2 strokes, maybe not a 50, but they have the other ones available. They need the 125,250 and 500. then a bonus maybe a 150 to fully compete with a 250f
they said its going to be full-size
Let's just get them all! 50, 125, 150, 250, 300, and most importantly a 500.
I'm a simple man. just give us a 125 and 250! id like to see e-start and efi and all the bells and whistles but a carb bike with a kick starter wouldn't disappoint me.
I want a KX250 2 stroke fuel injection
So basically you started right off the bat on this video. No one knows what the hell is going on so it’s pretty much a waste of video. Well I guess if you have nothing else better to do.
