Hi there, I have found this channel from one of your Udemy courses. I am looking at doing all 3 however would they all work with the free non commercial version of nuke or will I need to buy it? Thanks
Amy Taylor Hey Amy. The non-commercial works perfect for the courses. It has almost all of the features as commercial except that you can only render in HD maximum, and only use the software for personal projects. (Theres a few other limitations, but 95% of the software is usable). Cheers!
Also, if you'd like the courses on discount, they're all available here with the links below. Here are the links if you are interested! Alex thanks for sharing your knowledge. i have been studying your courses on Udemy so far, i will going into nuke 303 soon (AOV's and all). i want to draw your attention into something i have discovered but i am not sure if i am doing it right. i am talking about projection cleanup, other methods of projecting which you have shown in your paid course is great that is Patch/clone method. i also did UV projection using the Scanline render, i am sure you know about that. i tried this method of outputting Alpha from the ROTOPAINT node on other footages. i discovered that it does not work very well for object that have alot of parralax, it tends to hold up quite nice on some frames but not all frames in the sequence, please what could be the problem. Master please i need guidance. thanks waiting for your reply. it wil go a long way for me. once again thanks for your knowledge so far.
Hey there, It sounds like you're doing the right thing. For objects with a lot of parallax probably UV mode is the best because you can reduce the amount of stretching from one particular angle. If the problem you're seeing is overlapping or doubling up on the projection, make sure that in the Project 3D node you have it set to "Project on: Front", otherwise what might be happening is that it's projecting on two sides of the geometry. Alternatively, you can do multiple projections from multiple angles and blend them together
Hi. Can you make tutorial of how to do camera projection in nuke for an image?..also I checked in udemy of your courses.. there is no image protection tutorial.. also image to 3d model creating in 3ds max.. let me know if you would be adding in udemy or RUclips in your upcoming uploads
Hey! My NK202 class is actually about the 3d system and projections, so that class might help! I have an entire breakdown on the concepts of how projections work, as well as how to practically apply them in Nuke (with a project to practice). Wouldn‘t it be much more useful to plug in an ST Map at the top and filter that 3 times and at the end apply that Transformation with an Stmap Node to your Patch, with that Method you will Save a lot more sharpness by only Filter one time.
Ben J yep you could! That’s a good technique! If you’re doing lots of these projections though it’s going to be a pain to do an st map setup everywhere though. And this tutorial is also intended for beginners so they aren’t projecting the whole patch.
Thanks Alexander, this is very useful.
will make a tutorial on multi card projection on clean plate ?
This is Brilliant
Thank u your tutorial really realy good
Thanks man for share your knowledge :)
