Gregory Hines played Carl Halpert in Law and Order (season 13, episode 16 "Suicide Box"). I recommend you all go watch that episode and watch how Gregory A.K.A Carl Halpert tore apart Jack McCoy and the rest of his minions. Gregory Hines is the true representation of a divine king. Gregory Hines brought tap dancing to the mainstream in the 80’s. I loved his movie Running Scared with Billy Crystal. They had wonderful chemistry! I wish they had done more movies together. The song Sweet Freedom by Micheal McDonald from the soundtrack of the movie reminds me of him. The legendary dance between Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov in White Nights was the highlight of that movie. I love the song So Amazing. The gospel version is on my husband’s tribute CD.

Great profile! I grew up watching Gregory Hines on TV when the was a part of Hines, Hines, and Dad. He was a great dancer and actor! I'm glad that we have people like Savion Glover to carry on the tradition! I'm glad that I got to see Savion when he was a kid!
