    The saying isn’t that, if you are penny wise that makes you pound foolish. Rather it is a description of those who are meticulous about saving on relatively small purchases, but who are inconsistent and are not fastidious about the big expenses. It only applies to such times.

    There were some that were new to me. I think it would be a good idea to know common sayings and their meanings to improve communication.

    90/100. The attractive young lady who presented this quiz, hence the quiz itself, should appear much more authoritative, if she would diligently & seriously prepare & work on her (mis)pronunciations.

    90/100
    Number 27 is a bible quotation (Matthew 4:4) not a proverb.
    Many of the examples used in this quiz are only idioms, a true proveb must express a generally held truth or a piece of advice or a moral.

    Not all correct answers, as said by the people who use the phrases. I think a lot was made up
