Had our wedding reception at Powerscourt ...
@@TomTermini what an amazing place!!! You are so lucky!! 🩷
Love your b-roll music on all of your scenes and your sense of humor. Thanks.
Glenn, you have no clue how happy you have made me!!! To have someone watch your video and get your sense of humor and appreciate the music, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I was starting to think no one got me and I only make myself laugh 😂. Thanks for watching my friend. ❤️
A big no-no here! Ireland is not a British isle, and calling Ireland a British isle is seen as somewhat insulting to our sense of who and what we are.
Thanks for letting us know. We are so sorry this was a big no-no calling. I guess Princess needs to change the name of the cruise. Thanks for watching though ❤️
@@MileswithMcConkey Thanks for replying, though it's really not your fault at all. The British still have great difficulty in acknowledging Irish independence even though it's over a hundred years since it was achieved, and there was a formal agreement between the two governments that they no longer refer to Ireland in that way.
North Atlantic Archipelago
We did the Guinness factory that day. Did a drive through the city and saw Trinity college, and the American college where Oscar Wilde went.
We're home now and living on our memories.
Nice to see you again even if it is only on video.
That sounds like an amazing tour also. Once we saw that there was a big waterfall on the description for Powerscourt we just had to do it 😁. Thanks for watching ❤️
What time of year were you there?
Love your videos! So informative and real! Sorry if you mentioned it and I missed it, but why were your stops canceled? It looks like you didn’t go to the northern islands or to LaHavre. Just wondering why? We are doing this cruise on same ship and I’d like to be prepared. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words. You made me smile. This is a series and I do talk about it on the Day 8 & 9 video. I highly recommend you watch the series. I actually just released Day 11 today and do a review on the food and formal night. But spoiler alert, LaHavre was cancelled due to port strike (which we here happens often) and Orkney Islands due to weather (which we found out they only have success docking there 1 out of 3 cruises). I really hope you get to dock at both of these. So far I have released 9 videos in the series and have 2 left (working on them now). Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help. Thanks for watching. ❤️
It's Pavlova an Australian dessert in honour of a Russian ballerina. The New Zealanders will argue that they developed it but its friendly rivalry.
It's whisked egg white and sugar and should be gooey inside, light crispy outside once cooked. Yours was a very hard shell, so not as good as it should be.
P.s we did the Giants causeway and the Antrim coast. Had morning tea in the Londonderry Arms once owned by Winston Churchill. Our guide Adrian was brilliant and talked of the Spanish Armarda that perished in the Irish sea and off the Atlantic coast during a terrible storm. Our guide brought history alive. Saw the ruins of Dunluce Castle rising out of the mist which was the inspiration for the Chronicles of Narnia. Loved, loved, loved it all.
Were we on the same bus by any chance?
I am a new fan of Pavlova 🤣. I had it 3 times on the trip and each one was different. Your guide sounds amazing. We must have been on the other bus. Our guide talked about the Game of Thrones the whole time and all the places we passed where it was filmed 🤣. I didn’t know about the Narnia inspiration, that would have been nice to know. Working on that video now so I will have to put that little tip in there. Thank you my friend. You just might see yourself in the background on the next one 😳. Thanks for watching ❤️
@MileswithMcConkey I don't take good photos, so I hope I'm hiding behind something, ha ha.
@@nonacee5065 you are a beautiful person inside and out ❤️
Ireland is not part of the British Isles.
Thanks for letting us know. This was a port we explored on our British Isles Cruise on the Princess Cruise Ship. I guess they need to change the title of this cruise 😁. Thanks for watching. ❤️
It is Ireland and Britain please please correct this.
Ireland is not Britain's Isles, don't insult us please.
Thanks for letting us know. We did not intend to insult anyone. Obviously, Princess needs to change the name of this cruise. Thanks for watching though ❤️
Get ur facts straight.ireland is not part of the British Isles....do ur research before you write ur content
@@eamanlochain1484 per research: What constitutes the British Isles?
British Isles, group of islands off the northwestern coast of Europe. The group consists of two main islands, Great Britain and Ireland, and numerous smaller islands and island groups, including the Hebrides, the Shetland Islands, the Orkney Islands, the Isles of Scilly, and the Isle of Man.Aug 2, 2024
Ireland is not a brittish place, or territory. It is different and seperate. Talking about "brittish isles" in Ireland will get you a negative reaction. Tá fáilte romhat ach bí cúramach agus measúil.
@@TheTipplad I understand your frustration, but Princess Cruise line is the one that calls this cruise “The British Isles Cruise” not me. If you feel that strongly about this I encourage you to write to them. Thanks for sharing your frustration. I am not sure what your last sentence was in the comment, because it is not in English so I can’t reply to what was said.
@MileswithMcConkey I was responding to your post from 8d ago...you quote the British definition of the British isles. This is a contested definition and Ireland does not accept it. People often quote British/Wikipedia/Oxford dictionary type info and take it as the universally accepted gospel, not imagining anyone could possibly diverge. I'm guessing you are from North America and all I say as Gaeilge is " Visitors are very welcome in Ireland but should be made aware of this issue and as visitors, be informed and respectful.
Ireland is NOT part of the British isles🇮🇪
