Hey everyone. Welcome back to my MMX4 100% X Walkthrough part 12. Last part, we went to the Space Port, fought through Repliforce and defeated Colonel. Part 12, we head to the Final Weapon. Then a cut scene starts and man, all I got to say is "TOTAL RAPAGE". Then we start the level, fight through Repliforce and meet up with Double. I don't know what I was doing, I guess I was off my game and almost died for it. Well once Double is defeated, they talk. Then the second part of the level starts. I took the path at the bottom since its much easier than the top. UGH......@5:58.....i died....that makes 4 now......take 2. Then we get to General and he is super easy with X, just shoot his head from a distance.
Double's Move List (Not in order, just a list)
1. Evil Slash (I think): Jump slashes at you
2. Rolling Shield: Throws spinning blades that shield Double, but damages you
3. Wave Beam: Shoots 2 giant wave beams
General's Move List (Not in order, just a list)
1. Rush (Very slow): Lowers down and rushes you
2. Arm Launch: Shoots arms
3. Socket Beams: Shoots beams out of his arm sockets.
4. Spark Arrow: Shoots Spark Arrows (Middle is the safe zone)
Once defeating General, someone starts the Final Weapon and aimed it at earth. I wonder who could of done it??? Well that's it for this part everyone. Next part will be the final part and it will be broken down into 2 parts. Thanks for watching.

Double was one of my favorite villains on here because I wasn't expecting him to be like that lol. It was a complete surprise the first time I played this.

I remember back in the days. He was the one who gave me the hardest time of the entire game.
Btw those hunters Double killed were aiming to back up X up there in Final weapon but Double killed them all, as result X had to rush his mission which resulted in the death of General and many repliforcers.
I’m not sure if that is official lore, but that scenario sounds awesome.
If they were that easy to kill, I don't know if they would have really helped the final level.
@@elcangrejo6634 crowd control man, X alone had to deal with many squads of repliforce soldiers.
The hunters are elite units and would have been able to deal with mobs while X went straight ahead to the big fish.
“I’m so anxious to rip you apart!” This line alone makes Double one of my favorite villains. Voice acting is infamous in this game but let’s give my man here that voiced Double some props. Not bad if you ask me. Sounds like he enjoyed his role.
I am non-native English speaker and was very young when I first heard that line, but I remember I could hear that line clearly and felt impressive. I was quite scared at that time, actually.

I swear for X being a pacifist, his power is much scarier than the Mavericks that live for battle and bloodlust. it's a good thing Dr. Light put him through so many scenarios during his slumber, because his power is timeless. I can't imagine the processing power that embodies him to take on so many abilities from his defeated enemies and still maintain his sanity. Imagine if he did become corrupt and go against reploid kind.

@@Dittoritos Imagen if we got the good marvick Hunter X timeline and got to X4 with Double Story it would be unlocked by playing throw X’s story after you beat him and a conerl story after you beat him as Zero

I can just imagine X grabbing Double by the FACE off the floor to interrogate him for this betrayal after that defeat! Well.... he never would be THAT brutal.... but seriously, I can imagine him doing that since Double was defeated that close to him and he looked Double dead in the eyes with both anguish and rage.
Fun fact, in manga when X gets the ultimate armor, he becomes a bit sinister. So yeah that scenario could have taken place

I really don't understand capcom of america. First, they transform classic megaman into some old dude in the early covers, and then give this kiddy voice to X who is clearly supposed to be older. Is it to hard to be faithful to the source material?
+John Bane Well actually X's VA in this is probably more faithful to the Japanese one. Plus the voice actors from x4 were from Japan. (Edit: I checked out his Japanese VA and I was very wrong, its just that I know X's VA in this is the same as normal Megaman MM8 for the English Dub. So I assumed the same thing >->)
It is good that X has this girl voice. It works fine because he is supposed to be seen as a naive person. Someone with such voice fits the character like a glove. Plus, I like it.
Brany it doesn't fit at all it sounds out of place X's voice in Maverick Hunter X is perfect it's not too deep but it also doesn't make him sound like a little sissy or a prepubescent little boy it fits his age
@@loweni7460 No, that's the American like voice people expect him to have. But that doesn't make it the best suited voice. Overall, the cast in MHX is pretty lousy in my opinion. I might be alone in this though. I respect everyone else's opinion including yours.

man i was pissed when i first saw Double's betrayel. he was such a lovable goofball. but then its like WTF?!?!?
Double feels like an almost demonic character, the way he suddenly transforms and just spills the metaphorical blood of some reploids out of nowhere really stook with me.
Double was the best part of the game. At first I thought they were adding comedy relief to the X series; not only that, he was helping you out throughout X's campaign. But nope! He's a villain. I felt bad killing him too. I wish he gave you items like Auto in 7 so the reveal could be even more impactful.
It's funny how they built the weapon to fire on Earth and at the end General says: hurry up, the Earth is in danger!

It was mean to be a coercive weapon never meant to be fired but as a warning to not mess with them.

God, X got such a raw deal. It made for good story telling, but the guy never got a break. He was someone who wanted peace but never could get it. I feel so bad for the character.

Thinking back, Double's English voice sounded a lot like Mark Gatha's X just with that evil twist.
One of the only bosses in the game that let's you know his Slash is evil.

I swear the English cast for X4 was perfect and deserve more credit from fans than they got. Wayne Doster had a legendary performance in this game alone, Jeremy Felton was basically the Mega Man X counterpart to Valon from Yu-Gi-Oh in terms of voicing Double, Charlie Fontana was a great Sigma, and need I mention the others? Every member of the X4 English voice cast performed well in this game and sounded in-character the whole way through, especially Wayne Doster's Zero. That ending BROKE ME.
Just asking not saying anything but why didn't you use any of the other weapons it would have killed double quicker ?

This game had so many awesome ideas yet suffered so much under their execution. Imagine the voice acting was better and there were meaningful interactions with the other hunters, Double suddenly brutally slaughtering them would have hit way harder.
On a side note, there are videos on RUclips that are clearly the PS1 version which show this cutscene intact.
poor double, X defeat his boss 3 times and a lot of powerful mavericks and he think he can take him down
when x is life is yellow he says time to get serious and zero says its not over yet
In this story for X its rather tragic. X had to deal with one of his flaws as a reploid with human nature in the form of Double. X was far too trusting of him which turned out to be one of his bigger flaws and now had to fight someone he started to trust.
When I was a kid I always thought he was shouting "EVIL FLY!!" When he's charging at us. 😂😂

Uh... I could be wrong, but I was quite certain that every scene was intact (in fact I'd been surprised that they'd allow such scenes.) Wait, maybe it's a regional thing? Do you have the European version or the American version or another version?
0:30 question: if duble was killing all the members in the maverick hunters base, why he did not killed signas, alia and douglas?
Those three were newcomers by the time X5 was going. Alia came to replace Iris as the navigator, as Iris was assisting X and Zero in Xtreme and Xtreme 2 before X4.
They didn't exist yet.

X's voice in the cutscene and in game are different. Like really I can hear X in game sounding like a prepubescent male kid. In cutscenes, he just sound like a girl.

for me playing this game that guy double was the most hardest guy in the game to me almost impossible to beat until i did which i was satisfied with the game until i fought the grim reaper couldn't kill him or put a single dent in him i gave up and started playing metal gear solid
I don't think it's blood, I think it's some sort of machine fluid that look like blood... That's what I've always figured, because like you said, they're humanoid robots.

What would have happened if Double caught X by surprise?
Zero would destroy Double but after losing Iris too he would go maverick/insane. Considering how powerful canon Zero is, I think he can beat Sigma on his own just fine if he wants to. I wonder how he would fare alone in the Elf Wars without X and which side he would be on. I think the actual answer is more boring, X would be rebuilt after the events of x4 and the story would go on as usual. I just don't see how Double could take on Zero without being turned into confetti (assuming he dealt with X)

Doesn't double cyclone make double harder to beat? I may be wrong I have not tested it myself, I did all the fortress bosses buster only except grim repear sigma

I like the frozen chill penguin from x 1 and blizzard bison from x 3. this was a good game much better than x 5 and x6, the only gripe I have is double and iris were not more flushed out, if they were in x 1-3 or if they had more encounters with the main characters. but they only show up in x 4 and they die in x4. double is my favorite out of the 2.
