My dad came from Jura and this was played every visit that I had it played at his funeral by a solo piper! Its been 6 years now and everytime I hear it makes me want to go back to his home! My dad was 54 when he passed!
I would listen to this out on my balcony in Queensland, Australia. Humidity through the roof, sweating buckets, too hot for a Scotsman... I'd listen to this and dream of my home country, my bonnie Scotland 🏴. Now I am home, I listen to this and dream of my other home, my bonnie Australia 🇦🇺... This song is now my parallel universe. 🏴🇦🇺❤️
i grew up in lochmaddy, my parents left the island in 1968 without even thinking how it would affect me or my brother and sister, even after all this time i still get misty eyed listening to this beautiful air.

Just got back from the O2 in Glasgow .. the chilli pipers were on stage for over 2 hours and my feet were tapping all through.. im now sitting with sore legs and it was worth it. What a Band.
the most emotional rendition i have yet come across. i had mistaken the RHCP for perhaps hijacking this traditional genre, but my goodness i was wrong. what a moving and soulful piece. very well put together.
Love the slurs and vibrato, makes this the best version I've heard by far. However, not loving the drum beat that comes in half way through. Is there a version without it?
My favourite chilli pipers tune reminds me of my honeymoon in Edinburgh was also the 1st tune i ever played on my bagpipes EXCELLENT thanks alot for posting
My brother was black watch for years and the sound of the pipes makes we well up ! so proud a nation ! and most countries know that ! other countries hate the london lager louts
