Never had any Montgomery Ward tools but I do appreciate all these tool videos. Hard to believe that Montgomery Ward was once considered so powerful, that the government eventually seized it during a strike in WWII because the government was concerned about the possible impact on delivery of goods during the war.

We Lost our Montgomery Ward Store in Hollywood FL. In 1985.
I can still remember it. The building is gone now.
The K-Mart Corporation bought that land and called it Builders Square.
That's where I met my wife looking for work.
From the Atlantic Ocean to the west it was 7 miles in.

Looks very much like a Thorsen style. Thorsen’s budget line was called Action.

Thorsen also made military contract tools called Giller.

All I remember about Montgomery Wards that the toys and video games were in the basement. They were one of the few that had Sega Master System games. Master System was GREAT. Penguin Land is a masterpiece puzzle game.

Did they make their own tools or are they rebranded. I must have missed that part. I assume they were rebranded like craftsman tools. I have a bluegrass wrench that looks almost identical to those.

I have a set of MontgomeryWard sockets. Workmanship is terrible. From the late '70's.
