  • As an amateur filmmaker and media technician at a school, this is a fantastic product for the price.
This product doesn't get too hot (GOOD!) and is lightweight but not lightweight enough to feel cheap.
The day after filming this video I was out on a music video shoot. I can't tell you if it was the COB or just bad batteries but we had to sack off the batteries during the shoot and use the provided powerpack. Maybe this light eats up power? or my batteries are getting too old (I'm guessing the latter, but check out other reviews in case this is an issue with the lights).
But from the moment I removed the light from the box, I knew it was a tool that I will use for a very long time.
Well made and at an amazing price! (£100 at the time of filming this).

Great and informative review of this light, been looking at this light and been considering it
Can I ask how is the light until now? Does it still work well? And may I ask your opinion if this light at full power can just light a backlit subject in the shade with the sun behind them just starting to set or nearing golden hour?
    Anyways great video, God bless

      Hi,
I see no reason why this wouldn't work. maybe bounse the light from a reflector? Or use a softbox so its not so harsh to the face.
Let me know if you pull the trigger on this, and how it works out!

@@Dax79 thanks for the reply, appreciate it,
Yeah maybe bouncing or modifying the light would help lower the intensity and have flattering light on the subject,
Will do if I ever go though in buying this, still eyeing other possible options on the market, not looking for something to overpower the sun but just enough to add contrast to the subject.
But this one is one of the top I'm considering
      Good day and God bless
