Thank you for this but it may not fix it 100% of the time. I have a faulty connection on the speaker which is on the passenger side. It was removed for replacing the cabin air filter and can't be put on correctly any more. There should be a way to know if it's the integrity of the system or the battery before taking the car apart...

What an absolutely stupid design by BMW.
Any battery that needs to be replaced at regular intervals should be readily accessible.
Why have BMW put it in a place where you have to take a car apart to get to it?
Also why is it a very expensive BMW-only battery when a generic product would do the same job. Is this just to reward BMW dealers at the expense of BMW customers?
