Very impressive run! To be a slight downer, I do feel like runs like this are more like "nail-less" runs, as there are deaths still, done by charms, but in general a minion mancer build is always a joy to watch! And using the glitch in crossroads was clever! I have wanted to do a "pacifist" hk challenge, but between watching you and Sample I instead wonder what a "minimum kill" challenge would look like. You'd still be allowed to use spikes, as those really are disconnected to you, but a minimum kill challenge prevents you from using minions at all, on the tradeoff that you CAN use your nail for pogo + movement, like you did in mantis village to get the claw.
Yeah ig that makes sense, but most Pacifist challanges are like that. Threading the fine line of "it wansnt me but my ___ that killed it". Also a minimum kill amount would probaly be around 13, if u dont count urself dying and other things killing enemies (the guys who trap u in deepnest, idk there names). But seems like a kewl idea, I could do it in the future to see.
I recorded a minimum kills run myself using the same glitch he used at the start of the game and you can beat the game only killing the 3 aspids at the start, uumuu, watcher knights and the hollow knight. I didn't do true ending though, you'd have to kill a bunch of dream bosses and traitor Lord to get kingsoul for that. Never actually made the video though lol

You don’t have to talk to cloth for her to go to the next areas except the the spot where you have to kill some enemies for her to appear

Love how versatile Hollow Knight is to whatever challenge or playstyle you choose. You did have to use a glitch to get into fungal wastes sadly. There is just no other way to get the vengeful spirit for fireball pogos without hitting False Knight in the face at least once(?) (does hitting his armour even count as violence as no infection spills?)(also does the first False knight fight still get up if you don't do anything while he is down? Then he could continue into his tantrum and crack the gate to skip the fight) Regardless there isn't a way out of the mound once the spell is collected.

The best charm combo would have been grimmchild, grubs song, weaversong, glowing womb, and defenders crest making a literal bomb factory
Nah, replace glowing womb with dreamsheild. Glowing womb takes away to much soul which was causing me to die like a million time to most bosses

You should've taken out a few Warrior Dreams to get 300 Essence and Dream Wielder; it only costs 1 Notch, it makes the Dream Nail much faster, and it doubles the SOUL you get from hitting enemies with the Dream Nail.
Yeah, I did use it but it was easier to get soul from the weavers.
@@tusowl Fair, but the the sooner you get it the better. Could've taken a couple Warrior Dreams out with Dreamshield before Hornet, since they all get more health as you upgrade the Nail (and a couple other bosses do to, but the Warrior Dreams are the only ones that gain health for every upgrade).
@jruler93 if you use the nail (or things that scale with nail damage like dreamshield and sharpshadow) it is still better to upgrade. The health increases slower than damage does. Speedrunners typically don't because they rely almost entirely on spells, which obviously do not scale off nail damage.

I understood not getting glowing womb right when you got the weevers, but after you got grubsong, wouldn't it have been better to have that heavy extra dps? It also has a synergy with the defenders crest. I would've gone to get glowing womb because its in deepnest anyway. Especially on the trip to herra.

I was expecting you to "Um actually" some bosses and use your nail- cause like. Hornet and Ogrim dont die when you fight them, Watcher Knights are hollowed out husks, stuff like that

The reason Sample cant do True Ending pacifist by his rules is because Kingsoul automatically gives soul which is against Sample's rules

Not really, since his grimmchild vids he used his sword and spells b4 getting it, and dreamsheild ones are only with bosses, not the setup "challange" before them.
I personally have issues with your usage of Dreamshield, because it’s still a weapon directly tied to you, as opposed to a separate living being like Grimmchild and Weaversong.
I’m not 100% certain, but I _think_ you could get to Weaversong in Deepnest without dash, and use that instead of dreamshield.
