I really enjoyed the video as someone who is trying to apply to Ashoka this year and hoping to get it learning about it’s short comings is a huge help. One note the video seems to cut out randomly at the end without any outro and cuts into what is being said by the person

Ashoka University is basically a college which is selling degrees to rich kids, who have no pressure to earn money and have to run their family business in the future, upon graduating. This is the opinion I have gained after watching a few videos about ashoka/flame university.
Again, if I am given a chance to join such a pricey college, I would not, because the world does not contains such rich kids and the real world is far different than the atmosphere provided by such colleges built for rich kids.
I think that the parent sending their kids to such colleges are well aware of such facts and they have sent their kids to search for their better-half, belonging to some upper middle class family in India.
The girls studying at such college would search for their husbands in such colleges or would get married into some rich business-owning family. The guys at such college would run their family run business.
Such colleges would have no impact on the reputation of IITs and IIMs.
I want to add that, the placement stats published by Ashoka on its website is fake and is inflated.

Ashoka provides financial aid, to the extent that a lot of the students attend without paying any tuition so there are students of all backgrounds. I agree the unis a huge bubble w/ a lot of bratty kids but, so is harvard, princeton, ivys and top colleges globally and students there are considered extremely intelligent and find lots of success. Obv ashoka cannot be compared to them but, it’s achieved a lot in a really short period of time. Ashoka also has really talented profs and offers a lot of unique opportunities bc of the connections they have. In conclusion, things are not black and white. Ashoka has a lot of problems but it’s education system, concept of aid, professors, opportunities are commendable.
