I started playing D2R about 1 week before Ladder released. The game was incredibly flooded with items by then. People in non-ladder were dropping Enigma's for free etc. What surprised me is how quickly prices dropped and people started dropping good items on Ladder when that released. Since Ladder released I've only played on there and, around the time I was clearing Hell on my 10th character, somebody I had never played with before gave me a Enigma. By then I had already easily gathered many nice sets and uniques mostly through trading perfect gems and runes or from free item games. Around a month into ladder somebody already gave me a perfect Anni for free. I was very surprised with how many great items are being given away for free - especially because it's Ladder. I now have basically no reason to try and get anything better and the game is now too easy with so much best-in-slot stuff. This realization made me sad, which is ironic. In other games people can be so toxic when it comes to items and sharing them. In D2R people seem too generous! 😄 Now I am planning to start a new Ladder character and attempt to play it without accepting items from other players or using the ones I have in my Shared Stash tabs. I want to experience what it feels like to rely solely on my own RNG drop-luck, like I did 20 years ago. Does anybody have any advice on what class & build to play to experience this in a good way? Cheers

@@fructosecoma I don’t know about right now since prices are still crazy for some things but circa 2013-14 before I quit online play for pluggy 40 p gems / caster/ blood packs was a high rune all day long. Easy way to earn ber/jah runes. Just save up all the flawless drops from c-baal runs. People love to craft searching for that gg 2-20 or 2-20-kb but they don’t wanna spend the time it takes to like get all that shit together. The average vet player just wants instant satisfaction. If you farm a lot or follow bot runs it takes considerably less time than one would think. The most annoying part for me was always going back after I had my gems and jewels and sitting down for a half hour or so doing normal countess runs for the spare iths and rals. I actually got really lucky and make a solid caster belt for myself the other day. 10fcr-24fhr-11str-13fire-17light res. No arachs yet but that’s a damn good temp right there 😂
are these values only for ladders? Like i have zero intent on playing ladder- never liked the concept- so lets say like 2 years in on non-ladder are these values likely to have shifted greatly?
I was just wondering that myself. I would assume that the value of these items will be greatly decreased in non-ladder in two years from now. In ladder you can upgrade your low runes in the cube just like the gems, but it stops at some point, so you can't craft high runes that way. But in non-ladder you can craft your runes all the way to ber.
Until players command is brought to consoles seems we are at a disadvantage when it comes to farming places like lower kurast and like areas. Thanks for the content.
D2 runes are VERY interesting, in that that are a currency, a commodity, a consumable, and sort of a necessity (for achieving most builds). Economically, its similar to Realestate, if you could still just find new land. Or similar to grain prices, if everything was bought & sold using bags of grain.
Because that is best in slot jewel to put into an eth andys helm for your merc. Most are socketed with a ral for the fire resist. That jewel replaces ral and adds 15ias. I found a 15ias/26 fire res and sold it it for a crap ton
Poison jav sucks unless you run like dedicated bramble / poison facets, etc. Not worth it for games with + 5 players too weak. You can get away with it in single player fine though.
so is it worth keeping weak chamrs over....nothing? inventory space in this game is already super tight. so should i sell my "get more gold" chams for more space?
I know cham is not very desirable, but 1/5 of Sur is a bit misleading, you won't even get 3 cham for 1 sur, it's worth about the same as Vex on average, I use it a lot for Prides
It's so great seeing you get this chance to spread your knowledge with the D2R release. If anybody deserves it, it's you.

No arachs yet but that’s a damn good temp right there 😂
thx for providing this useful information!
No one loves d2 as much as this guy
Good stuff, man. Cheers from Brasil!
are these values only for ladders? Like i have zero intent on playing ladder- never liked the concept- so lets say like 2 years in on non-ladder are these values likely to have shifted greatly?
Not realy any point playing ladder in d2r unless you are going for rankings. All items and rune words that ladder had before is in normal
What should I do with the random Sur I found today?!?! I want to get to enigma eventually. How should I parlay this rune to getting me closer?
It's a hard G on Gheed. He pronounces his own name when he introduced himself
I just found an ethereal Beserker axe . Should I keep it ?
The minute you brought up the Rune values on screen i knew you were going simple enough for me
I keep jewels and stockpile Pgems for the express purpose of crafting ammys and rerolling grand charms
Noooo, why cut :( when 2nd part?
The dirt star flower returns!
Actually that's a butthole
@@Jin-lx7or isn't that what I said?
Looking at your rune values is making me laugh. As I was fortunate to find a Ber rune. People be trying to offer me Vex and Ohm for it...
Until players command is brought to consoles seems we are at a disadvantage when it comes to farming places like lower kurast and like areas. Thanks for the content.
Found my first skiller GC yesterday and it came with 7% faster run walk! but it was a curses GC... lol
16 specs your chances are pretty low
D2 runes are VERY interesting, in that that are a currency, a commodity, a consumable, and sort of a necessity (for achieving most builds). Economically, its similar to Realestate, if you could still just find new land. Or similar to grain prices, if everything was bought & sold using bags of grain.
all hail the value of flower painting! the price is tight!
Theres a million rushed Blizz sorcs in NM that cant tele 😁
Heard it here folks, Llama is doing a D2R grail 1:13
Hello MrLlamaSC, why Jewels with 15 IAS and high Fire res have a lot more value than other jeweles with Light/Cold res?
Thanks
Because that is best in slot jewel to put into an eth andys helm for your merc. Most are socketed with a ral for the fire resist. That jewel replaces ral and adds 15ias.
I found a 15ias/26 fire res and sold it it for a crap ton
Hey. What you think about poison amazon? I would like try build but not quite sure...
Haha, this was obviously done before the Mosaic. "martial skillers, naaaw....." :D
I have a staff you might be interested in nothing special called mangs song d2r
How can I buy an Um Rune? Only need 1 more for the bone runeword. Great video's btw Thank you so much!
What about self repair jewels? 🤔
Cold skiller + 34 life - what can I get for it ?
My only thing ive found of value is small charm with 6mf with 8 cold resistant i will cherish it forever.
3:41 that's the spell to summon diablo in real life?
I know cham is not very desirable, but 1/5 of Sur is a bit misleading, you won't even get 3 cham for 1 sur, it's worth about the same as Vex on average, I use it a lot for Prides
