Omg dude I can't thank you enough for making this video. I'm taking an electrical class at my local college and The prof spent an hour lecturing about this and the whole time It felt to me like he was speaking a foreign language and in just 12 min you managed to make things so much clearer.
Thats so awesome to hear. for an accredited course there needs to be so many hours spent so instructors tend to ramble to fill that void. im glad you got something from this video.
Great job! I'm a carpenter by trade and you gave the best explanation of how to subtract the 5" on a 1/2" pipe for the 90 bend. Very simple and straight forward explanation that will easily stick in your mind when you need to recall it. Thank you! Ralph
Dude, Im 2:30 into this video, and you are a straight up dude. I appreciate your presentation. And I dig that youre telling all the keyboard warriors to piss off. This isnt for them, its fort people like me who have no idea what youre talking about. But im gonna go rewind what i missed writing this and pay attention.. Thank you again.
Dude, this video just saved my life, thank you so much man. It’s so hard to find good teachers in the electrical field and I’m glad you uploaded this to help us out.
Appreciate it!! man sorry bout the live stream its my computer or me. when it was supposed to happen it just didnt. ill figure it out. thanks for checking in!
Oh man - taco time - looking great something classic about a white t- shirt you are a wonderful man god bless you for all your teaching moments. It does help the younger apprentices.
Thank you for your time in making this vid, I'm an industrial Pipefitter and this will be great for the times when we have to bend piping for the hydraulics on pumps and turbines, thank you again.
I'm waiting for applications to open for my local IBEWs. Appreciate you making clear videos to introduce me to some of the key skills I'll need to learn.
what an awesome comment thank you. its tough when you have 23k subs and videos get a couple hundred views. Im giving it the ol college try and trying to stay consistant for those who need the help but its tough to get what videos work to get more views. thanks for watching
Conduit bending has been confusing for me, my journeyman hasn’t given me quite what I need for on-site learning and I’ve only had conduit action twice. After watching this I feel more confident with grabbing a stick and having a go at it! - 8 mo apprentice
I’m 6 months into the electrical trade and i just started to learn how to bend conduit and i must admit your videos are hilarious and highly informative i will definitely stay in tune you remind me of my old mechanic Dave lol keep up the videos one man team lol😭🤣🤣
My goodness, I watched lots of videos and still couldn't understand a thing. It looks easier the way you explaining it now, Thanks very much I wish I knew this channel earlier.
Thank you very much for sharing information. I hope you will upload videos on cable tray bend. Looking forward to more of your videos. Again, thank you.
Need you to cover Title 24 in depth. You are best freaking trades teacher on you tube. No bs just code and commentary. Perfect Let's talk later about my vision on helping like you
Very informative! Thank you! I do hvac but we're doing controls right now and putting up conduits for them. Wish you showed how you did the 90 though. And your neck hot dog comment was hilarious!!
Great video. I'm an electrician in Ireland, we use a different type of bender and the metric system. But the multipliers you gave for the offsets can be applied for us too. Thanks for the video. 🇮🇪👍
Absolutely, you worked hard to learn all you know so offering us bits get us pointed in the right direction after that, I get paid for my time and knowledge. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for this simple explanation. I'm just a homeowner who wants to make a couple of improvements. If I can learn and do it myself, great. If not, I'll call in a pro like you.
Thanks for doing this iam one if those noobs who just wants to know how to bend a damn pipe now especially cause iam at work lol other channels literally just complicate things and make it confusing. If I watch your videos a few more times I think I get the basics! Thanks 👊🏽💪🏽👍🏽
Is there an easy formula to remember these standard deductions and multipliers? I just mean like off the top of your head some trick to always remember
I never had pipe bending school. I made a couple saddles just by winging it when no one else in the company wanted to do it. It wasn't tight to the pipe it went over but it wasn't too bad.
just subscribed and gave a thumbs up, great video. i was bending some 3/4'' conduit today and it was a little tricky trying to get the correct distance in the bend , so let's say i need to bend a 24" inch bend i would just mark 6" then the 24" inch mark?

Any tips on how to plan a overall basement outlet, switch, light , conduit job?
well one 20 amp bathroom, a plug circuit and a lighting circuit. all depends on how many lights and plugs and how big the load will be.
Thanks man you are The best..
You're welcome!
Is there an easy formula to remember these standard deductions and multipliers? I just mean like off the top of your head some trick to always remember
well I use the 30 degree bends. always multiply times 2 easy to remember. I will be doing a new pipe bending video soon with more info.
I never had pipe bending school. I made a couple saddles just by winging it when no one else in the company wanted to do it. It wasn't tight to the pipe it went over but it wasn't too bad.
keep at it. just a few basics and you will be a pro in no time!
So you used 3 for your first Mark with the offset, can you normally pick a number to start? Basically where did you get the 3 inch mark from?
just a number i picked.
Dude this was awesome, thanks so much!
so glad you liked it!!!
So for a 90° inside of a room I’d measure from the start to the corner i’m bending inside of then deduct 5?
yes for 1/2" conduit.
Thanks sir I clarified alot with this video
Glad to hear that
Thank you that very very helpful
Glad it helped
Do the same principles apply for RMC and IMC?
no because the diameter is different.
just subscribed and gave a thumbs up, great video. i was bending some 3/4'' conduit today and it was a little tricky trying to get the correct distance in the bend , so let's say i need to bend a 24" inch bend i would just mark 6" then the 24" inch mark?
exactly! I have another pipe bending video. take a look
Great video. Thanks man
Official! Thanks homie! 🤙🏼
Looking for the "No Dog" online, but I can't find it online.
hmmmmm maybe its the trade name. i got mine from amazon. the brand name was no Dawg. try that or google it.
Thank i'm a simple person ! Hands on sort of but I get the idea 👍
Great! hope it helped
Do you have a video on how many wires can fit in each size pipe?
i dont because that includes D rating. it is in the code book so maybe thats a good next one to do. thanks
Great video. How do you determine what degree of bend to use?
i like the no bullshit how to....great video man
lol right on. the only bullshit is coming from me.
Thanks man, can you go over what the star does?
It’s the back of the bend. When you have your measurement that’s the back of the 90
