It's not "fake" but they're certainly using over dubs. You can tell near the end when Barry's voice is still going in the chorus while Barry himself is not actually singing the chorus and he's doing other vocals.

The Bee Gees stands for the brothers Gibb. Barry Gibb is the eldest brother in the middle. Next to either side of him are his younger twin brothers Maurice and Robin. They also have a 4th brother who, at this time; was considered too young to be a part of the BeeGees, but he sang on his own, with songs written by Barry. Great reaction. Love to watch first reactions to this fantastic group. Tremelo is what Barry Gibb is doing there. His falsetto us legendary. And they didn't just sing, they wrote the lyrics, composed the melodies and produced lots of their music. They composed more than 1000 songs. They had 100 top 10 songs, 6 consecutive US chart number 1s, Grammy and Brit awards in bucket loads, and the best selling soundtrack for ages, until Bodyguard knocked it out of first place. Stayin Alive is their signature sound, but they started in the late 50s and kept charting into the 2000s.

I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This song would have been in my wedding. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs. old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, (not pictured) had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs. younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. He lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a sidenote, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their own songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. When Barry was about 2 yrs old, he reached up onto the table and a pot of hot tea fell on him. His mom said he was in the hospital for almost 2 months, and he almost died. He didn't talk for almost 18 months. Barry said he doesn't remember, but has the splotches on his chest and arms to prove it. You can see the discoloration on his chest, that looks shiny.
The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs:
    Staying Alive ruclips.net/video/I_izvAbhExY/видео.html
For Whom the Bells Toll ruclips.net/video/K5XgAqMLR14/видео.html
    Spirits (Having Flown) ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html
    Closer Than Close ruclips.net/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/видео.html
    One ruclips.net/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/видео.html
    You Win Again ruclips.net/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/видео.html
    Bodyguard ruclips.net/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/видео.html
Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.html
(Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.)
Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb
    ruclips.net/video/eH686Dyy16w/видео.html
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them, for others, were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. They have sold more than 220 million records worldwide (I'm quite sure more by now.) Their name was taken from their mom, Barbara Gates, their manager Biil Gates, and Barry Gibb. The name was not specifically a reference to "Brothers Gibb", despite popular belief.

One of a few fantastic singers, writers and producers. They did it all and for longer than most anyone else. They don’t make a bad song. This rabbit hole is huge. Sit back and enjoy! You can randomly pick songs and they would be great. How Deep is Your Love is their second most successful song. They have hits from the later 60’s-2003. Both Barry and Robin can match their vibratos together. I've never heard any other singers who can do that. I think that comes from singing together since they were in grade school. This video was taken in the sound studio during the recording session of Too Much Heaven. I recommend you react to Stayin' Alive next. It was the ultimate "Disco" song and was used as the theme song for the John Travolta disco movie Saturday Night Fever in 1977. The Bee Gees surpass Pentatonix as far as quantity and at least match the quality of top notch songs. Almost every song they ever did was written by them. There is a fourth younger brother, Andy, that occasionally sang with them. Barry, the oldest, is the only one alive today.
Robin was famous throughout his life for having a dry sense of humor. He despised the liberal Prime Minister Chamberlain because he thought him so stupid. He once said that if Chamberlain was tossed into a barrel full of tits he would come out sucking his thumb!

Imagine listening to their music as a child. I was spoiled with the BeeGees and 70s music. It was an education to my ears and the soundtrack to my existence. I am happy for you to experience this song. You have at least a dozen more of their major hits to discover. Best wishes.

Please check out many more of the legendary Brothers Gibb's wonderful offerings over the decades from the 1960s to the 1990s - eldest brother, Barry, in the middle and twins, Robin (with the long hair on the left) and Maurice (with less hair on the right) - as well of those of their little brother, Andy Gibb.

Born in the UK, grew up in Australia. Technically, as they had no formal musical training, they didn't discover falsetto until doing Nights on Broadway. They competed to get the highest and continue in falsetto the longest. Barry won out, and he could do a vibrato within his falsetto which is rare, so they ran with it. Eventually it fell out of favour, so they went off and wrote huge hits for other big names, and put out songs without it. They have an older sister who concentrated on her family, but filled in when one of the guys couldn't make it. Their younger bro Andy had hits of his own, he wrote some, Barry wrote some. He was about to join the band when he passed suddenly around 30 yrs old. Mo died from surgery complications, Robin had cancer? Barry is the last guy left, can't do falsetto anymore, he has a bad back. He put out a duets album during the virus. He's been happily married for 50 years. Try, words, Jive Talking, Massachusetts, First of May.
