@@WarioFan63 I think it's Ape III because he's the 3rd major Nintendo ape character after Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. - get it? :-P But I just love the whole thing where after you get him pinned, you gotta grab the magnet with your left hand and move it across to the left to dismantle the robot's arm! Poor Alice! She has to re-attach the thing before the rematch the second time around!! :-O :-P ;-)
@@WarioFan63 Exactly! Thank you!! :-) And then in very *related news* , this game reminds me EXACTLY of what is happening now with Gamestop stock: 1. ATTACK Wall Street jackasses only concerned with profit attempt to SHORT the stock / bet against Gamestock and profit when the stock drops 3. POWER UP & RE-ATTACK
So far no Arcade Archives release, but I did get to play this on an actual cabinet at Galloping Ghost Arcade. It’s the only place I’ve seen a cabinet it’s my own eyes.
Very cool! I was at Galloping Ghosts several years ago and that was my first sighting of a punch out cabinet. Glad to hear they have Arm Wrestling there!
I read about this game on The Cutting Room Floor website, I’m quite curious about who that unused opponent is and why it ended up unused. Something I’ll probably forever be mystified about!
@@WarioFan63 That’s the only explanation that makes sense. I do remember the joystick messing up when I played it at Galloping Ghost. They had to replace one of the switches to get it working again.
The world got the Japanese versions of Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out, complete with patterns that American gamers were unprepared for. In the American version of Punch-Out, you can dodge Pizza Pasta’s uppercut after the clench. In the Japanese version, YOU CAN’T! What the hell are we supposed to do, just let take it as a mandatory hit? 🤬
I just realized Kabuki predates Piston Honda/Hondo by 2 years
Alice and Ape III are pretty epic.
They're good friends! Challenge them!

@@larkefedifero Hey I like that theory! Since DK3 doesnt have a new monkey in it, that makes complete sense that this would be Ape III

With that Woody Woodpecker laugh.
I can’t believe bald bull disguise himself as mask x
2:59 - I fully expected that to happen but it was still really funny.

@@WarioFan63 I’m wanting to say they got it in 2017 or 2018. I know they got their Super Punch-Out!! in 2017.
@@WarioFan63even Mask X's mugshot on the top monitor seems to confirm that he's Bald Bull since they have the exact same pose
I loved this game in the arcade when I was a kid
the way the announcer says it like "tex ass mac" makes me giggle
Also check new 2022 PC arm wrestling game called Arm Wrestling Reborn.
Alice and Ape III have the woody woodpecker laugh when they win
Very cool

They should add this to arcade archives for Nintendo switch
I think so too! It's strange it's been left behind so far. Maybe they didn't want to risk joystick damage to controllers?

Why am I just now getting the notification RUclips!

Am I the only one who thought your voice sounded surprisingly similar to the announcer voice in the actual game?
I wonder if the Artist made art of the other Challengers of Arm Wrestling
