Had a couch in my room since I was like 10 (now I'm 21), and now I also have a recliner chair, table and an ottoman. This is not a big bedroom but hey, it's worth it.
Lol I have one cause I moved in with my friend who doesn’t have space in the living room for it 😆
My theory: EA's buildings are basically what we would built at 3am after 72 hours without sleeping if someone told us we can't sleep until we're finished

My living room is porcelain, upstairs bathroom ceramic, laundry room vinyl, downstairs kitchen tile, upstairs laminate, one closet downstairs laminate, bathroom and entrance engineered wood lol

Don’t worry, most of us who are American are also confused. Although I do have 2.5 in my house because if we didn’t the only bathroom upstairs would be the one in my grandparents’ room. The house I live in is weirdly designed. It’s not typical. 2.5 is usually the normal limit before we start getting too bougie.

Yeah, it's pretty odd to have so many bathrooms, but when you have that many siblings, you're gonna want 4 bathrooms 😂😂

Pretty sure it's just a sims thing. I play with large families and it's honestly just easier to have more than 2 bathrooms. That way sims don't have to go up and down the stairs frequently just to pee for example.

I always put desks against the wall unless it’s a formal office. In my Sims’ formal office I have two leather armchairs (the ones that match the base game leather desk chair) and a round end table with the Courtyard Oasis tea set. I also put the Paranormal Stuff rug in there

If I have like a work from home sim (especially my dream home decorator sims) then I will have a room where I like to think they meet clients and it's usually going to have a desk and chairs in the middle of the room and like a little coffee/tea station on the side and bookshelves, etc. and even a little seating area off to the side if we're doing well and moving up in the world, haha.

i just wanted to say: yesterday, i both went back to school (on campus), and my mom had an unexpected and sudden surgery (she’s okay and the surgery went well, it was just an intestinal thing). i was feeling so overwhelmed and anxious, so, to calm myself down before bed, i started watching a simsie video. instantly i felt much more calm and happy, so thank you kayla. you’ve not only gotten me through quarantine but now a very stressful situation. thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart kayak, you’ve been my refuge in lockdown. 💕

some of these have big ‘I just built my first build in the sims 4 and I am super proud of it now but will cringe at it in a few months’ energy but instead of posting it on a personal gallery account to be forgotten they put it into literally everyone’s library

I play on console. Some of those builds saved me before the gallery as added. Especially this one.😔😔❤️❤️
Sameeeeeee! I finally decided to replace my EA Newcrest park last night with some builds from the gallery and kinda got a little emotional thinking about all the memories made in that little park. lol
I still can't play on console because the parental restrictions haven't been removed from my account. And I have too many saves to make a new one.

maybe she doesn't like how empty space looks aesthetically, but for gameplay it's actually ideal
Jovis Not my gameplay. Too big and you lose track of your Sims too easily. I prefer smaller spaces.
For me personally, the bigger the space the better. I don’t “lose track” of my sims at all. But everyone’s play style is different.
Different tastes, I think. Yet I was on same boat like you: I prefer large houses or rooms because there are some activities that needed large area. Like making projects, putting christmas tree...
But usually when I want to make my sim had simple life as farmer (no jobs, harvest plants only), small or tiny house is already enough as they already had enough with TV
i like big houses irl but building them in the sims is a pain to furnish

Funny how even after she shrunk the house down alot, she still had room for a potential 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms(including a laundry area) and still a nice a spacious living room.

Kayla, you should do a challenge where you build a floor plan, but randomize what each room is after the floor plan is already made. Imagine the lols if you had to build a bathroom in a kitchen sized space, or vice versa!

Honestly I don't focus too much on the screen when watching your videos as I just enjoy listening to you chat away. And when I was a teenager I had a bunk bed with a sofa bed on the bottom, though mostly I had it flat with scarves up to make my own little den.
Simsie really has me so grateful to have a bedroom with a couch. It’s so nice, I sit on it and watch tv or read, and it’s like a tiny zen livingroom

the kids having bigger better rooms than the parents reminds me of my childhood, my parents had a small dark room with terrible natural light, but me & my siblings all had big bright rooms - i respect it, prioritizing your kids' comfort
I actually love the way you jump around during builds, I'm very ADHD and always have to jump between at least 3 different areas of a build, so seeing you do it as well is kinda satisfying?? it's nice to be able to relate to how you jump around lol
Can I just say how I love the fact that there appear to be 2 people who have turned on notifications for your videos with the express purpose of simply disliking it?
Oh my goodness. I have played with that awful house. I tried to redo it, but I got so crazy, I just bulldozed the whole thing and found a much better one on the gallery.
I can confirm that I have a couch, queen bed, desk, 2 bed side tables (granted one is beside my desk), and a full bookshelf like 1m long, all in my room, and one wall is a mirror-cupboard thing. So yes, a couch is not unreasonable, and my room is only like 15 square metres... (3.6m x 4.2m)
I'm watching this in 2022 and Kayla has bought a house that she's renovating. This is her reminder of what she said about the outlets in the floor of her office lol
This would be a really good 100 baby challenge house. I think I’m going to use it for that
