    They're absolutely great!! I live in a hilly area on the west coast of California and these are my favorite shoes for kicking around the property. I always feel sure of foot because of their width. And frankly they look better and are of higher quality than any American brand shoe at the same price point

    Buying mine tomorrow.
    And LOVE my JG Razorbacks for around the workshop and bushwalking. They took a while to break in, but well worth it

    Broke my ankle/lower leg last year in standard vellies slipping off some rocks.
    Got some Jim Greens this year and those soles make you feel as confident as a Klipspringer on the rocks.

    Hello from the U.S. We love watching your videos. My wife is from Brits originally so she cracks up when some Afrikaans comes out. Your photography is excellent. I’ve a videographer for a long time and I’ve been slowly going into photography so your videos have some good ideas and tips. That’s being said, I’ve been wanting a nice pairs of vellies and now I want some Jim Green Shoellies. Next trip we plan, I’ll be looking for a pair. Thanks.

    Have you try the African Rangers?
    Looking on how they can be compared to this shoellies in terms of feeling similarities on the feet.
    For me , the shoellies have been very comfy.

    Should you size them the way you do a sneaker? Go a half size down

      Not sure 🤔 I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly.

    What sort of socks would be preferable to wear with these... wool, cotton? Especially in hot weather. I am having a hard time finding reliable and not contradicting info on this. What did the job well in your experience? Thanks :)

      I’ve personally switched to Marino wool socks when i wear boots and never looked back. I’ve yet to get a blister or feel like my socks are soaked after a long day

    Not gonna lie, I bought a pair of Wildebees vellies last year when I visited SA...completely disappointed by them. Their heel is all sorts of messed up. Wish I wasn't rushing for the airport so I could have tried them. Next time I am in SA, I am getting some Jim Green.

    Man I tried these shollies, but they were incredibly hard on my feet. The problem is the sole is radiused on the bottom, so every time I took a step the radius would press up into the ball of my feet. It was an incredibly uncomfortable pressure point and enough for me to return the shoes. The upper seemed to be good quality though, construction is a little rough (nothing that would effect the shoes longevity though), but the huston brown leather is very nice.

    Love your videos and I'm about to get myself a pair. How do you take care of them and what product do you use?

    • @TheSafariExpert
      @TheSafariExpert  7 месяцев назад +1

      If they get wet, dry them out slowly and never in extreme or artificial heat, like a heater or hair dryer. Use any natural shoe polish found at your local store :)
