Hi, thank you. I do not have a bottom vacuum suction. I made a suction point at about 90 cm height in the wall. I put a hose in there and a vacuum cleaner attached to the hose with which I clean the bottom of the pool. I pump the pool empty using a submersible pump.
Fantastic video. Showing the pipe flows and connections was very useful. What’s the reason you use a vaccuum and a skimmer? I was thinking of just installing a skimmer, are there many disadvantages ?
Thanks for the compliments. Installing a skimmer that also serves as a vacuum connection also works well. I had that at the pool of my previous house. The only drawback is that it takes longer for all the air to leave the tube. That's because the vacuum tube of the vacuum cleaner goes out of the pool and goes into the skimmer with a curve. You will not get all the air out yourself before you start vacuuming. The pump has to do that, and that takes more time and it makes a lot of noise too. That is the reason why I installed a seperate vacuum connection which is always below de water service allowing you to remove all the air out of the tube and than connecting it to the vacuum connector. I hope that makes sense to you?
@jhr. Ik heb nog een toevoeging op je vraag. Want ook al zit er geen stekker aan de kabel, dan is het toch niet makkelijk om deze door de U-bocht te duwen. Dat komt omdat de kabelmantel erg stroef is en de U-bocht veel bochten heeft. Ik heb daarom niet eerst de hele U-bocht gelijmd en toen de kabel er doorheen gedaan. Nee, nadat ik de kabel door de muurdoorvoer had geduwd (dat gaat wel heel makkelijk) had ik elk stukje bocht en buis pas gelijmd nadat ik eerst de kabel er doorheen had gedaan. Als ik ooit de lamp moet vervangen, wat ik niet hoop, dan moet ik er voor zorgen dat ik de kabel eerst verleng (of een trekveer erop aansluit) voordat ik deze uit de buis trek zodat ik een nieuwe kabel er doorheen kan trekken i.p.v. te duwen. Beetje uitgebreide toevoeging merk ik, maar mijn antwoord dat de kabel er goed doorheen ging was niet helemaal waar.

Paste de stekker van de lamp doir de 50mm buis en bocht, of zat er geen stekker aan?
Daar zit idd geen stekker aan. Dus de kabel gaat er goed doorheen. Met krimpconnectors zet je de kabel vast aan de grondkabel, in de STX centraaldoos.
