A couple of tips, too late to help you but may help others looking in the future. Use a 4 in 1 grout additive at 1:1 ratio with water and mix the grout a lot runnier than you have made it, this will make it a lot easier for the grout to flow into the joint. You can buy special adhesive masking tape that sticks very well to bricks and mortar, cut off a short length of this and stick it to the underside of pool edge gap. You can now fill the gap in the pavers from above without it falling out the bottom. Once the grout has started to set up you can remove the tape and smooth the join with your finger and add any extra grout if necessary then clean off with sponge. Also, leave your pool cover on while you're doing this, it's much easier to clean the excess grout off the pool cover rather than getting it out of your pool. After you have grouted the joints, clean off all excess grout with a sponge and bucket of water rinsing and squeezing the sponge between each wipe. There should only be grout in the join and none on the face of the paver. Hope this helps somebody.

Hey Martin, i am looking to start building one of my own for my family. Thank you for the detailed videos and great work. I was wondering now that it is 2 years later, with the pool settled in place. Have you had any cracking or repairs that where needed with the plaster or paint surface?

Hi Andrew, thank you for your compliments. Unfortunately I cannot answer your question about the status of the pool at this time. I sold the house and therefore no longer live there. The pool was in good condition when I moved and I have not received any complaints from the new residents about the condition of the pool. So I assume everything is still fine. But I'm not 100% sure about that.

Hi Leo, that would have been better indeed. Unfortunately, the border tiles were delivered much later than planned. And because the weather was nice and we wanted to swim in our new pool, we decided not to wait.
