Do you have a video on how you created your columns?

what kind of naming conveniton you suggest to avoid files with the same name.
Lets say we have a "Sales Report.xls" file, one file for season, we can have "Season" as a column of metadata, but all the files can't have the same name.

What is the easiest way to get rid of nested folders in a document library and to have a flat architecture? Currently have a document library with too many folders and nested folders but like to put all documents in one doc library without a folder

Can you change permissions of the doc based on a metadata value? For example it doesnt make sense to display un approved documents to non approvers.

Yes and no. Seeminly with a powerapp & metadatacolumns linked to tags you can, but in my experience sharepoint triggers of powerapps are unreliable and if there is any chance that sensitive information may not be 100% locked with the correct permissions then i would always make a separate library with more restrictive permissions at the library level.
