All this needs is ONE motor/generator on the rear wheel, but if the goal is to add extra motors then saddle could be motorised up and down, in fact it's possible to add one for up and another for down, then the steering bar could be motorised to go up and down by two more motors, it'd make it more convenient and why not make it more user friendly making the steering bar slant electric? One can also make the horn electric using a tiny compressor (has a motor). That would make this the most motorised bike in the world. A Guinness Book of Records entry might follow 😁😆😁😆

Nice concept and reasonably practical design because it doesn't look that appealing.
I like the idea of pedalling to generate electricity to ad to charging the batteries along with the recumbent stance without being too low, but I always think of what happens when these things fail and cannot ba repaired easily at the roadside. I still like the practical nature of a mechanical drive system so that if everything electronic fails and cannot be repaired in situe, then the mechanical system still functions.
Perhaps to incorperate a mechanical clutch between the pedal generator and a conventional chain and 7 or more speed hub gearing setup could be added to drive the rear wheel.
Just a thought to perhaps expand on the idea.

  • @jonk8337
    @jonk8337 11 месяцев назад

Titlting trike and chainless pedal concept is great. Motor setup not so much. One high power rear motor is all u need. The front small motors can be used for regen instead, combine with an integrated generator and PAS sensor in the bottom bracket. In the promo video, it looks like they installed a Magic Pie motor from Golden Motors on the rear hub. It’s going to be an uphill battle for this product. I remember the Copenhagen Wheel raising $32 million to start their business (Superpedestrian), now that wheel is not supported anymore and the company moved on to scooters.

A great future mobility device, but one much simpler and much less expensive could be built using existing technology.
A trike that does 300 miles exists already ($17K 😳) but one could be built for $5-7K, with true rear differential, anti-tip steering, charge underway or stationary and more....as a wheel chair traveler (I am ambulatory for short distances) I need a faster mobility device that also has range (my current chair by AMY, is less than 10 miles) and speed (current 8.5 w/c mph max).

Wow that looks fun.The internal noise could be eliminated through spray-on technologies. A particular coating would do a lot to eliminate sound. Even the inside texture of a closed system chamber. Sound into energy perhaps 🤔🤔 I could see this bike in an enclosed system looking concept. These would make great delivery trikes for a business. I can think of one right now. 5 gallon water bottles. Water delivery service on command and regular customer exchange services. Certain neighborhoods would do really well.. especially if you were to establish a good customer base. It doesn't necessarily have to come off of a truck. Frequent trips can be made in centralized locations. This concept would work well for a neighborhood restaurant delivery service as well. I mean it looks like it has the ability to carry a few little groceries and maybe laundry.. but overloading it with weight would definitely have to be considered into the overall safety when it comes to speed capabilities.. it's not so much to speed is stopping with that amount of weight.. without flipping over. Quick and Safe breaking would be an essential requirement. Load limit capacities would need to be established. Attempting to transport irregular shaped objects exceeding outside of a determined measurement would be a caution rule. Eliminating liability would be difficult and require a strong set of guidelines in order to bring into a mass production.

Most likely, Bill Gates will buy the company, only to burry it, like the free energy liquid metal battery he bought from a professor and student inventors and that was many years ago, it will never become as populated as lithium batteries, look what oil companies had to do to kill the NiMH battery, first GM fooled the inventor Stanford Ovshinsky to sell it to GM for the EV1 electric car, then it was sold to Texaco, then Texaco was bought by Chevron, then Chevron killed Texaco, and NiMH I disappeared , and now I can’t find the battery for my 2000 Honda Insight except for some underground Chinese manufacturer whom I can’t fully trust with $1200 non refundable, but as it is , I get 47 mpg (with battery 65mpg or more) thanks to the greedy oil companies. Japanese water powered cars were discontinued right after their 3/11 which was most likely Israeli atomic bombs set off on ocean floor above the earthquake fault line, which scared the Japanese so much that they erased water powered free energy from history, permanently, as if it never existed. That’s how the Department of Energy has control of our taxpayers money to do whatever they want in favor of oil companies, including killing a million iraqi people in the name of liberating them from Saddam Hussein, or fighting terror, while the terrorist has been the us government all along, and that’s why there is a war with Ukrainian innocent people getting killed for what Israel has designed, it’s not Putin making decisions, just as hitler had nothing to say as far as what to do next, it was and will always be decided in accordance to Protocols of Elders of Zion, who are older than Time itself, according to the movie, Dark City, if you want to get educated about what’s really going on, watch it, Roger Ebert called it the best Sci Fi movie, ever, and there is a reason for that, he would never make that comment if his name was Larry Silverstein.

If I used the solar generator as the batteries I could build one that can power a couple outlets (couple grand more) in an emergency.
      All with existing technology.
The micro motor thing is a wave of the future. In 3 years someone will pedal power a car, within 5 years someone will power an airplane.

@@dansorkin6985 No, I have sent out the idea to like shark tank site and investors but haven't broken through the minders yet. This is an idea that Arcimotor is pursuing with millions in investment capital, chasing existing technology, used by the military to pedal power communications equipment in the field during and after WWII.....
I have also thought about a go kick me fund (my own name for begging for money on the internet) to finance.

This video has not been updated. The MLM project was put on hold last year. Arcimoto ended the vectored steering project and instead they are changing out the steering gear to one with more teeth, and a longer Pitman arm. The hardware change is easier than trying to get a very critical software change officially approved for highway use. All 2023 FUVs will have the upgraded steering and the $750 trunk option is now included standard in the base price. Arcimoto just revealed their huge new project to outsource warranty service and general repairs to EV service shops across the nation. Just two years ago there were not enough qualified shops.

So so with the speed of 30-40mph, its a moped. That's not for sidewalks and bike lanes but main roads of course. Piaggio has a similar trike, but just RWD i think, which is all that is necessary. No point to 3 motors. Which will allow it to run smaller, lighter battery options at the base, which is less expensive. I just see an expensive toy.

How to complicate everything as much as possible. Each motor is an extra $500 to $1k. The amazing front end on this vehicle is great but to manufacture it is going to cost a ton compared to a simple front shock on a fat tire cargo bicycle. Building this is an exercise in spending as much as possible to complicate a simple cargo bike.

Arcimoto’s stock has lost nearly 98% of its value since shares peaked above $36 in February 2021. Its shares were trading Thursday at 79 cents, giving the company a market value of about $36 million.

You said, "all wheel drive hub motor trike".
Total number of "hub motors" 0.00 None
The use of correct terminology in EV reporting MUST improve PLEASE.
This vehicle uses high speed brushless motors, 3 total, one on each spindle, enclosed gear and/or chain driven to power each individual hub. All electronically controlled through the PCM and will eventually combine traction control, regen braking, energy distribution, and energy management.
The crankset has no mechanical connection to ANY of the wheels and is not technically a motor, but a generator. Pedaling generates energy that is electronically controlled to either power the wheel motors, charge the battery(s), or both.
Many technical details were left out in this interview as this vehicle is still in prototype testing.
It is my opinion, (and who am I anyway?) that the lack of a mechanical connection from the pedals to a wheel will not meet the legal definition of "working pedals", at least in the state of Arizona as I tried to fight this battle "electrically linked pedals to wheel" in 2007 and lost.
Much has changed since then and hopefully the courts will see that wires can accomplish the same thing as a chain.
    Thanks for reading.
