It feels weird that other people always overlook the fact that when he lost in the tournaments, he either lost to the winner of that tournament or god.
TBH, sometimes it feels like the Yamcha in Dragon Ball is a different character than the Yamcha in Z. He used to be pretty cool, but now they messed up his character. He feels way too arrogant and rude to be the same person who congratulated the guy who broke his leg on his victory.

I don't care what anyone says about Yamcha, he's pretty cool, and remember, he's the only one with the Spirit Ball technique, along with Wolf Fang Fist.

I really wish they'd treated Yamcha better. I mean, he met Goku waaaaaaaay before Krillin met Goku and yet everyone just kinda forgot about him or used him as a punchline. I feel like he got it worse than he deserved. I like to imagine him and Krillin switching roles
I wouldn't say WAAAY before. At best, a couple weeks. And even then, Goku trained with Krillin for a whole year. Yamcha has never been with Goku in place for more than 2 days.

I don't like how was Yamcha treated, especially how TFS treats him. People point at him as weak, even there are Chiaotzu, Hercule, Yajirobe and rest of the Earth. He also spent three years in wilderness to train hard, only to get beaten in first fight of the tournament.
so much respect for the Yamcha's fans out there, I mean it must be so hard to keep at it and you guys are just the best! Just wanted to say that. Loving Goku or Vegeta is easy but loving Yamcha, man, this is proof of inner strength.
I remember hearing this in an awesome moment, but I didn't think it was Yamcha's personal theme. Not because he isn't cool (He's cool, but the universe hates him) but because I didn't know that there were specific character themes at the time.

Well Yamcha is not weak by any means. He's stronger than the Ginyu Force but weaker than a full power Frieza. So ... he is perfectly capable of blowing up planets. Don't mess with him.

In my opinion, the best character theme in Dragon Ball. Makes me think of those good ol' days action movies from Hong Kong. Movies like Jackie Chan's "Police Story" and "Armour of God". Good stuff.

@eltigreferos1 Ninguno de esos tiene una "canción", más bien tienen temas. Cuando alguien habla de una canción se entiende que es una composición musical para ser cantada. Y ninguna de las que me dices - excepto esa de Goku y la de Gohan al transformarse - es cantada, son más bien melodías.
Ya se que existen esas, pero no son canciones y en la descripción me refiero a canciones.

Could be but i doubt it Yamcha went up against a cell junior in that saga and could atleast fight back with Chiaotzu im not sure though it could be a close match if they ever fought

It's quite possible that Chiaotzu is stronger than Yamcha at the end of DBZ as he trains with Tien while Yamcha quits training. Personally, I think Tien and Yamcha are the best humans, although Yamcha and Krillin are very close because everyone good guy in DBZ is amazing. It's because I strive to be like Tien, also Gohan and Piccolo as they all have similar values and training styles but that's off topic. Yamcha on the other hand, doesn't really have strong values, being a former desert bandit.

Yeah, I'm not saying either is extremely stronger than the other. If Chiaotzu was stronger he'd only be stronger by like a million or so at most, not much. I'm glad you didn't just go for the "call him a faggot" approach to my comment. Thank you for that.

the funimation dub to yamcha is a fail! i had no issue with anyone elses voice but when yamcha showed up i felt annoyed. the ocean dub did his voice perfect

They were part of the series far before Goten. Also they were Goku's best friends before the aliens left them outclassed. Goten's basically half of a fusion as far as I'm concerned.
