This happen in 2022 and in 2023 it was reported that after an extensive nine-month investigation, Cape Town authorities have concluded that the allegations of racism against Hank's Olde Irish Pub on Bree Street were fabricated by individuals seeking to exploit a situation for personal gain. The incident, which initially garnered significant attention on social media and in the press, involved claims of racial discrimination against Thabiso Danca, a 25-year-old individual who was allegedly denied entry to the pub based on his skin colour.

My issue with these type of posts is that the reporters are not honest and the followers of the channel are too lazy to do their own research on the topics that are shared. This particular incident is not a recent one. It happened in 2022 and as South Africans we didn’t hide it. Two charges were brought against the owner of the pub and it was temporary closed.
