So I’m 21 weeks pregnant now I have MS and I’ve been diagnosed by two years ago kind of similar to yourself but pregnancy is like you said kind of good for it but my doctors realistic with me about the risk of relapse after birth and we’re taking out the cautions we can but it is scary and there’s very little contact on here about women with their pregnant with a ms . My doctor is making sure I induced at 34 weeks they can give me an assisted birth and try to avoid caesarean so that I can be back on the medication quickly to avoid relapse as much as we can. I’m not gonna lie it’s super scary I’m very grateful to have your contact here it really helps to hear from another mom😊

Well I'm so glad that you found my channel, it can feel kinda lonely when you're going through it. The only time I've relapsed after giving birth was when I had a miscarriage. I was fine after my last baby, but I believe it was because I was breastfeeding. Hang in there mama! You're amazing and all will be ok! Keep me posted! 😘

Thankyou so much for making this video. Hope you're doing well. I'm almost 39 weeks pregnant and having my membranes swept during an appointment today. I was diagnosed with MS 9 years ago and am 33 now. This is my first pregnancy after trying for 6 years. I've been on 5 different treatments but was on Tysabri when I found out I was expecting and changed to Copaxone. No symptoms during these last 9 months besides fatigue which is already a norm. I will be breastfeeding as well. What have you experienced since delivery?

Thank you for reaching out to me, I love talking with other people in similar situations! I am so thrilled for you Sarah! 6 years is a long time to wait for that special gift, and I am so happy you haven't had symptoms while pregnant, what a sweet relief! Was Tysabri working well for you before the switch? Things have been going well for me, I am going to make a new video going over all of that! Thanks for watching and good luck with that new little one, praying for a smooth delivery!!!

Making Lemonade Actually Tysabri is the first of 5 treatments I've taken that has actually worked. Started with Betaseron, then Copaxone, Tecfidera, Gilenya, and finally Tysabri which is a type of chemotherapy. My last MRI showed no new lesions or activity then found out I was pregnant 😂 Found out soon enough that no infusions were given while I was.

+Sarah Mates wow! I've only been diagnosed for 2 years, and half that time I was pregnant, (I had a miscarriage before this last baby) so I've only tried copaxone so far, after I'm done breastfeeding then my Dr. wants to try something new.

Making Lemonade I just had a rough time finding one that worked. I've been doing Copaxone during these 9 months because it's the only one that's safe for pregnant women. As for something long term I never wanted to do injections daily but I did to have a smaller chance of a relapse. But my neurologist wants me to stop it all when I give birth and while I BF. It's always changing the drugs on the market for MS. I'm just hoping the membrane sweep works that I had today with my OB. I'm tired of being pregnant😢

Hey. I have MS and I know everyone with it is different. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and I'm super exhausted all the time and my legs still bother me which is something my dr told me would happen but nothing new. I was also told that I will have to be on medical watch for up to 6 months. Also that I may not be able to breastfeed for too long depending on what happens after. After having your baby what were some things that happened to you? Were you ok for a while or did the symptoms come right back? I hear so many different things from people and drs

Hi there! My heart goes out to you. I was fine after having my baby. I did have problems after having a miscarriage, mostly just face numbness, but that went away with a steroid infusion. Lots of love to you and your family.

@@carlahemans-gordon8346 I was able to breastfeed him for a year, and then decided I was ready to be done, not because of health reasons. Thankfully I didn't have any disease progression that whole time I wasn't taking my meds.
