what I like about your videos is you show everything. you don't juts cherry pick segments and this video especially was nice as we have a group of Off-grid trailers going to Sheep creek canyon which starts out here on lower coyote canyon. No videos show the beginning like you do, thanks for doing that.
That uphill where you backed down used to be all boulders, it made for a fun technical climb. You could see some of them pushed off to the side. Makes me sad they changed it. The last water crossing is tame now too.
Your channel deserves so much more subs. Excellent content. I got a 97 4runner nicely built for the desert and we live by Borrego if you ever want to link up on one of your adventures. I'm disabled and love wrenching and wheeling and camping. How can I message you?
Enjoying the trip, back in the 60s - 80s Sheep Canyon was our go to spot, as said elsewhere we had to drive the creek with one section very narrow, almost always had water in Sheep Canyon, there was a big slab rock as you climbed the canyon, then one day some screwball painted a large psychedelic eyeball looking down the canyon, wondering if it’s still there. Heading out tomorrow but will stay mostly on pavement, taking my 96y.o. Mom to look for wildflowers and a few birds. That’s a lot of traffic, nothing quite like taking a traffic jam to the middle of nowhere.
The only Yoda in a Jeep crowd, love it! Yesterday went to desert just north of Ocotillo, too many folks looking at flowers, so went to Indian Gorge and had it all to myself for the whole day, and from a report, I missed a big horn sheep by minutes!!!! And that is why I love the 100F desert, ain't not nobody but me!
I used to live in California and in the late '60s - mid '70s I went to Anza Borrego several times a year. Often with my brother or friends from work. Things have changed a lot around there, over the years. When we were going there, the majority of the trail up Coyote Canyon involved driving in Coyote Creek, itself. Also, you could keep going and climb the mountains all the way up to the town of Anza. That was always a great run, with lots of different scenery.
@theinstructor2687 yeah, alot has changed, I grew up in the 80s in Big Bear Lake, and back then I could still ride a small 80cc dirt bike around town and forest and no one cared. I love riding my quad that I carry on the back of the truck, but even that is getting hard to go anywhere with. That is why the truck got upgraded to what it is so I can truck that quad a lot further out away from things and ride in piece and quiet. I use the truck as base camp many times. Thank you for watching.
Nice video, I carry a truckers lunchbox on the passenger side floor, put frozen burritos, warm up sandwiches, left over pizza. I personally like the other side of Salton Sea, abandoned mines, also the Brooklyn Mining Dist. Lots of mines. Hope to run into you out on the trails- I drive an older Toyota truck with a utility camper. I'm in the Palm Desert area. 🏜️👋
MOJAVEDESERT SONORANDESERT thanks for watching. I love the east side of the Salton Sea, but didn't know about the Brooklyn Mining District. I will look that up.
This was an excellent tour. Finally got my Saraha off-road worthy and this is one of the first places I plan to break it in. Thank you for the preview for a noob. Do you mind sharing the equipment you used to take the 360° footage? Thanks!
Marcus I use a handheld GoPro as my main camera. I also cut in the dashcam and other GoPros. Thank you for watching. Its good to know I inspire people to get out there and have fun. see you on the trail.
Actually, one of the main purposes of a snorkel is to supply cleaner, cooler air to your intake. Because it's mounted up high, the air is farther away from the engine (cooler) and farther up away from the trail dust you kick up (cleaner). I live in Arizona (the desert) and generally don't see too many water crossings either. I always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks.
@theinstructor2687 yeah, I agree on the cold and clean air. in my early years I dreamed of having a zebra painted land cruiser with a snorkel, but with family and kids, financial priorities have changed as you can tell from the truck, which is a mix of junkyard, cheap china, and harbor freight. hahaha.
@@Ludeks_Adventures From what I've seen in your videos, your truck is well set up and performs good, off road. Nothing wrong with your truck. Over the years, I've owned almost every kind of 4X4 you can buy, in this country. Scouts, broncos, old Willys, newer Jeeps and more. I'm an older, retired guy and maybe getting a little soft in my old age. So, now my vehicle is a pretty well set up 2018 Tokyo 4Runner Off Road Premium. It's such a pleasure to drive, on road or off road. It's very capable off road but I don't, intentionally, take on really thrashy, hard trails. Anyway, I think your truck is very good and I enjoy your videos.
That's too bad about the call to the FAA! I drone in the lower "desert" area, and have had no bad experiences yet ?!?!?! But then I am so close to BLM that I claim that. There are new regulations in effect for us low to no cost droners that it will become very hard. Cert needed in any national park now. Even for us folks who make NO $$$ at all from what we do, you might even call our hobby a financial loss, heehee! Like you, I'll never make money from this. I do it for my family who like to see where their crazy son/brother/uncle goes to. I do it for me too just to get out and have fun. Too bad some folks just can't mind their own business. Great video Ludek! Cheers!
@ridealongwithrandy it seems it doesn't mater what the hobby, more rules against everything. Even riding my ATV is getting much harder. I have to truck it further and further every year.

yeah, I noticed a lot of other trails that have been graded over the years.

@user-dx5vw7vz3p thanks for the info, I will look that up on the map. Thanks for watching.

I camp at the end , it’s most time empty no one there.

If you never broke your fast you'd starve
LMAO! Call the FAA!
@ridealongwithrandy yeah, I couldn't resist.
