    I applied for SSDI for husband 9/4/2018 and was approved 11/9/2018. That was so quick, he did not get benefits until 03/2019 due to the six month waiting period. Did my research, and all medical records ready..

    I'm 61 and ex (once married over 10 years) is 56. I have learned from your videos that I will be able to get my divoce spouse's social security income when the ex reaches 62. It means 6 years from now when I will be 67. My question is "will I be able to get medicare benefits at 65, which is before I qualify to file ex spouse's SSA?". I don't have my own points with social security.

    I have been watching your videos, very informative. However, I have a question. My wife and I are both 62 (i will be 63 in Sept) I am planning to take my SS benefit, so we are preparing for the changes. We were checking my benefits and hers and discovered that her benefits were slightly higher than mine. Not a problem, my question is can I opt for spousal benefits, even if she does not take her benefits yet?

    social security needs to change, the question about one losing their current spouse being able to now claim on the divorced spouse needs to change as well as being able to pick and choose which ex-spouse to collect survivors benefits from, at least means test it, its ridiculous...also one can divorce their current husband collect on one of her EX's then remarry after 60 the one she just divorced, then while you are remarried you continue to collect off of your other EX. These are some of the reasons the trust fund is going broke
    tax upper income( 250K or more) folks 2-3% more for both SS and medicare, end earnings cap, limit how much high income earners ( 250K) can claim, no more increases after FRA for high income earners, no more SS taxes on those making under 85K in retirement

    • @Savannah-ed4rv
      @Savannah-ed4rv 2 месяца назад +1

      But you can only get one benefit at a time. If you remarry after 60 you can only take your own benefit, your exposes benefit or your current spouse's benefit not all of them at the same time. They just give the option of the highest paying benefit which is what we paid in the system for!
