You have to read Anne of Green Gables!! She’s the true queen of puffed sleeves 💚 she romanticizes everything and even gives lakes and forests magical names!!
I always love all your recommendations! Did you know that there is a lovely movie based on the book Chocolat? It came out in 2000 and it’s charming! I hope you enjoy it as much I do! ❤️
Thanks for these awesome recs! While I'm loving your cozy and spooky new fall content right now, I also needed some fun spring books and movies for spring here in South Africa now!
Lexi 🌸 As always I loved watching your video! 🍄 I am currently listen to The House in the Cerulean Sea. Absolutely loving it! 🥰 Thanks for all the work you put in your videos! Keep up the great work girl!
I read tuck everlasting for the 1st time in 5th grade and it has stuck in my brain every since as one of the best (and saddest!) books ever I LOOOOVE it! 🍄🍄🍄
My late grandfather made me watch Matilda when I was a kid and it was the reason why I love reading right now. The aesthetic, ambiance and the characters were all so nostalgic and it's a comfort movie, you all better watch it.
I love Moonrise Kingdom SO much - first time I saw it in theatres I bought a ticket for the next showing and watched it again. 💕 Sourdough, Chocolat and Emma are some of my favorite reads. I love how you described Gallant like Secret Garden - want to pick that one up now! 🍄
Love the Spring ideas girlie. You looked beautiful in your cottagecore dress. 🍄🍄🍄 Love your videos so much always look forward to hearing your recommendations as well your sweet voice. have a beautiful day
🍄 I agree about the House in the Cerulean Sea I just read it and I love it so much! I love that the setting has a garden and a forest and I love the characters ❤️😊
I haven’t even started this video but I know I am going to have to buy all the books. Out of all the booktubers you influence me to buy books the most. I always love the editions you pick out. 😊
This video is exactly what I needed and was looking for, for spring! You never disappoint I love your videos. Thank you again for a great recommendations list for books and movies alike, and happy Spring!
🍄 We should so be friends ! Omg it’s Autumn in Australia 🍂🍁but I’ve already just watched and read most of these recently including yesterday ! Enjoy the Spring 🌼🌞😃🦋🦄
Hi, Lexi! I am loving a lot of the books in this list! I've had my eye on a few for a while now. I shall be adding them to my GoodReads "to be read" list after this (name is Dolly Thorne)😊. As for the movie side there are a few I haven't actually heard of... To be honest the only ones I've heard of are Brigerton and Matilda 😅 oops. Thanks for another video though, Lexi! Loved it as usual 🥰 You inspired me to start my own RUclips channel again. I had one for years all about makeup but decided to start again with my new hobbies of Reading, Crochet and a plethora of other things 🥰 thank you so much! Hope to be as good as you one day! Sending love and light, Dolly xo 🍄🍄🍄🍄
Omgsh that’s so exciting about your channel congrats!!! 🎉 and you know what I actually had a makeup one before this too! Lol I called myself the makeup fairy and dressed up as a fairy while doing my makeup. Welcome officially to the booktube community!! 🥰🍾🎉💕
I comment this on every video, but Chocolat is my favorite book of all time. And anyone who hasn't read it is truly depriving themselves of a whimsical experience.
I'm currently reading We Were Liars and it's a perfect spring/summer read! ☀ Also, these are such good recs! I haven't even read or watched Tuck Everlasting but it seems perfect for this time of year! 😍 I love your energy and thanks for sharing your own personal spring picks! ☀
I appreciate the fact you included a gothic read. I personally love the idea of gothic/horror/thrillers set in summer or spring. Especially when it is in a green setting. Alice Adventures in Wonderland is definitely a very springtime read, and I am happy you included a wayward children book. I love that series, but I would personally argue all the books are springtime. I don't know why, maybe I just see portal fantasy as either a spring or a winter thing, maybe it is because in most of them nature is a prominent feature.
I read the secret garden the beginning of spring fell in love with.. oh my goodness Lexi.. You should read school of charm.. it gives such cottagecore vibes.. oh my and I adore the Emma movie I can’t tell you how many times I have watched it
Hi Lexi! I'm loving all of your recommendations 😃 I'm not sure if you do Spring Fling O' Ween, but I'm always looking for a reason/excuse to read spooky or Halloween themed books anytime of the year. I've recently found All Our Hidden Gifts (YA, paranormal fiction by Caroline O'Donoghue), and Curse the Day (an adult cozy paranormal mystery by Annabel Chase). I wanted to throw those 2 books your way, since I know those would be right up your alley 😃 Looking forward to your next video, and enjoy the rest of your week! ❤🧡☕🍄🍄🍄
Loved this, it's always a treat when you post a video! I had to buy that copy of Alice you showed us (even though that story always freaked me out as a kid) I think I need it in my classic children's book collection. Thanks for the other recommendations as well, I'm especially interested in Moonrise Kingdom and the Secret of Moonacre!
Ohmygosh, I think you will really like A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Magic by T.Kingfisher. It's about a 14 year old witch with a sourdough starter for her familiar. Also, she can only do magic through bread but is tasked to save the people. Can she? It's a short book but is such an amazing one! 💓
YAAAAASSS Matilda! Im sooo glad you recommended it! It's so good but I dont really see many people recommending it. I think it's very underrated. The book, movie and the musical are all fantastic! Im a huge fan of Matilda! As for your book recommendations, I'll be checking out Tuck Everlasting! Im getting The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue vibes but...less dark? lol
🍄 hello! I love your recommendations, and I’m so happy Secret of Moonacre was included! There’s actually a book, A little white horse, where it is based from. I prefer the book more, but the movie is also remarkable.
Gallant sounds like something I'd like so thanks! Also, I love how you started with Alice in Wonderland and I'm literally typing this from Cheshire in England 😸
🍄 Bridgerton! I'm rewatching the 2 seasons, right now. I LOVE that show. I'm also reading Ella "The House in the Cerulean Sea". After I listened to the audio book, I felt that Ella needed to experience the book, too. She finds it crazy how morbid Talia is...but she thinks it's really funny, too.
🍄🍄🍄 Sourdough by Robin Sloan is actually a lot weirder and borderline Sci-Fin than I think you’re expecting 😅 But one of my faves nonetheless! Just definitely not cottagecore.
I'm currently reading Emma, it's the second book I read by Jane Austen, the first one being Pride and Prejudice, which I adore with my all heart; but Emma is sooo so good, the ability of Mrs Austen to gossip around and give you little plot twists of the characters' actions is absolutely to die for! Jane Austen is the queen of Tea Spilling 😌✨
If you love them I must entice you to read "Persuasion" too ! I actually prefer it to Sense and sensibility, which is the third people always mention when talking about Austen books. It's basically two exes meeting each other again 7 years after an awful break-up, and there is *so much* angst going on !
@@aglae1912 I actually already have the book because I plan on reading every Jane Austen's work, so thank you so much for the recommendation, you intrigued me into reading Persuasion next😌😏💕
Ugh I have Gallant standing by but I need to finish my CPA exam first! Joanne Harris (Chocolat) also wrote one of my favorite modern adult fairy tales, A Pocketful of Crows. It…changes you. Tuck Everlasting is such a lovely film. Even as an adult it really taps into something within me.
I think "Howl's moving castle" (both book (especially book 1 and 3) and movie) and "Ella enchanted" (both book and movie) could be added to this list :)
I'm currently in Vacaville, California visiting my sister and brother in law and a few days ago, I went to Barnes and Noble and I brought Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco and You've Reached Sam by Dustin Thao and then I brought A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray from Savers, a thrift store and I was so exciting. I know that You've Reached Sam is a spring kind of book because the cover has cherry blossoms and its so sweet 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
I love Emma Approved which is a RUclips series along with The Lizzie Bennett Diaries (And there are novel adaptions of The Lizzie Bennett Diaries and The Adventures of Lydia Bennett) which is also a RUclips series I love. Saving Mr. Banks is a great movie following the story of how Mary Poppins was made into film. And there is a Cottage Core adult coloring book coming out soon or it already came out not sure.
You have to read Anne of Green Gables!! She’s the true queen of puffed sleeves 💚 she romanticizes everything and even gives lakes and forests magical names!!
That is my favorite book of all time!!
I was calling every beautiful thing a kindred spirit all of elementary school lol
I so totally agree with u

I would strongly recommend “The Enchanted April” by Elizabeth von Arnim! ✨ It’s full of beautiful spring vibes 🪴 🍄
(Sorry for my English)
If you like an anime for the spring i recommend Arriety. You can watch it on netflix
I always love all your recommendations! Did you know that there is a lovely movie based on the book Chocolat? It came out in 2000 and it’s charming! I hope you enjoy it as much I do! ❤️
it’s one of my comfort movies ! it’s really underrated
One of my favorites ❤
I love Matilda! I'd love to watch it again someday.
That movie adaption of Emma is like my favorite movie of ALL time!
Thanks for these awesome recs! While I'm loving your cozy and spooky new fall content right now, I also needed some fun spring books and movies for spring here in South Africa now!
Chocolat is a great movie too! 🍄
🍄 excited to watch The Secret of Moonacre!
Enchanted April is also a movie! 😊
I'm reading Gallant now and hoping to finish it today. I'm really loving the atmosphere- it's so good!
I love that edition of Alice, I also recommend the Alice of Wonderland books illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, so beautiful!
where did you find this edition of Alice in wonderland?
Lexi 🌸 As always I loved watching your video! 🍄 I am currently listen to The House in the Cerulean Sea. Absolutely loving it! 🥰 Thanks for all the work you put in your videos! Keep up the great work girl!
Love loved this video thank you for sharing!!!!! Happy Spring reading!!!!!!
🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄
So excited to read Gallant!! 🍄🍄
I love Moonrise Kingdom!
Love the asthetics and vibes of your video
🍄 I think another great read for Spring is Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore. And the cover is gorgeous!
I read tuck everlasting for the 1st time in 5th grade and it has stuck in my brain every since as one of the best (and saddest!) books ever I LOOOOVE it! 🍄🍄🍄
okay but YOU are the cup of sunshine in my life tbh ☕️💛💐
NO YOU!! 💛💛💛💛
My late grandfather made me watch Matilda when I was a kid and it was the reason why I love reading right now. The aesthetic, ambiance and the characters were all so nostalgic and it's a comfort movie, you all better watch it.
Matilda is my favorite movie has been since I was little
I love Moonrise Kingdom SO much - first time I saw it in theatres I bought a ticket for the next showing and watched it again. 💕 Sourdough, Chocolat and Emma are some of my favorite reads. I love how you described Gallant like Secret Garden - want to pick that one up now! 🍄

🍄 I agree about the House in the Cerulean Sea I just read it and I love it so much! I love that the setting has a garden and a forest and I love the characters ❤️😊
🍄 Such a great list! thanks for putting this out!
Yes! Orquidea Divina has such perfect spring vibes! I read it in the fall but I might just have to reread it now. It's one of my favourites!
Everytime I watch your videos my to be read list grows, and I'm both excited and anxious because it has more than 500 books now 😅
Great recommendations! 🍄❤
