When I was in High School, there was a special ed kid that wanted to join the track team. We were all for it. Unfortunately, his first meet, he wanted to do the shotput. The problem is, he thought it was shotPUNT and drop kicked a 12 pound shotput, shattering his tibia/fibula and most of his foot.

Your shoulder would still work. It would just throw it out you would just need to put it back in place and it would be fine

I love this guy. He uses an angle grinder with a cutoff disc on most projects that he needs a chop saw for, and uses a chop saw, several discs and a hammer (no mini sledge or mallet), where a metal bandsaw would have done the work in half the time for a quarter of the money.
I'm so glad someone else said something about this. it killed me to watch him destroy those discs.

and it would be safer.. these guys dont really employ many safety giards for what theyre doing.. nothing really stopping that blade kicking out if it digs in too hard
Lmclean89 Ever been to a steel cutting shop? They use lubricating saws. It's called not destroying your freakin blades and not melting the metal you are trying to cut. But it is primarily there to maintain the blades on cold saws such that you can reuse and resharpen multiple times.
And I quote, "Cold saws are intended to be used with a flood coolant system to keep the saw blade teeth cooled and lubricated."
But, you could technically find a lubricant for any type of saw, it being more effective on some more then others, but if we talk about the best way to cut steel using a saw blade, then you would probably want a lubricated cold saw.

I think investing in a tile saw would help you cut things that tend to heat up from all the friction (like this ball). love your channel!

Your not supposed to throw it like a ball, your supposed to put it against your neck and do a sort of kick/shuffle and then propel it up and forward, if you throw it like a ball it can injure your arm

the "rainbow" is the overheated metal. To cut a large piece of metal you should cool the metal, usualy they use a type of oil, (because of corrosion) but you can use water, cut, put water, cut a little more, water, so on so on... your saw blades will last a lot more.

Yeah me too since I do it in school, shot is actually very difficult because thrown even a little bit off it could do damage. I should know because ever since the first time I did my shoulder has not been the same. But the he did it was less harmful than if he threw it like a baseball

Why don't you just buy a Lenox Metal cutting circular saw blade. It can cut metal, wood, plastic, you name it, it can cut it.

It's likely cast iron unless it was specifically labelled as steel. Also, abrasive saws cut cold metal much better. Abrading hot metal is quicker but the molten bits of metal get stuck in the disc and reduce the abrasiveness of the disc, requiring dressing.
That's not how you throw it you could really hurt yourself if you do it wrong
