    Thanks for posting these videos, I am going to use this as a reference while putting on the rotors for my 71 C10. Going with some Powerstop Z23s. Looks like a cool build by the way.

      I don’t have the part numbers but I would assume they used squarebody spindles to make it disc brake. Parts stores should have what you need

    When u put the new race in...do u have to press it in before u set the bearings and then put the seal in?

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  3 года назад +2

      My rotors came with new races already in it, but you would have to press the races in before the seating the bearings

    Great instructional video. Are you using 1 inch or inch and quarter rotors?

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  4 года назад

      Miguel Lopez they are 1.25” rotors.

  • @jakemiller2751
    @jakemiller2751 3 года назад +2

    My rotor is only going on halfway. It won’t allow me put it on fully

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  3 года назад

      Have the correct bearings and rotor? They make 1” and 1.25” rotors. The HD 1.25” require different bearings.

    • @BiblesandC10s
      @BiblesandC10s 8 месяцев назад

      That’s what happens to me I had to get 1.25 bearing to fix the issue 3 different parts run and going to attempt tomorrow

  • @ethangrooms297
    @ethangrooms297 2 года назад +1

    Has anyone had an issue with the rotor being loose after install. I have the 1.25 rotors. Drop spindles for the 1.25 rotors. If I install without the bearing race everything goes on fine but there’s a lot of play. If I install with the race it doesn’t go on far enough to put the caliper to bolt back up. Race seems to be sticking out to far.

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  2 года назад

      The rotors I bought had all the races pre installed.

    Huh i did mine with my father a while back and used much much more grease than that

    • @FEDsShotMOM
      @FEDsShotMOM 8 месяцев назад +1

      I mean much of the space between the bearing had thick grease and my entire cap was full too. Had a squeaking so i thought the bearing was going out but they looked okay, cap was bent and allowing water and rust to get in there
