I bought a 67 about six months ago it was a very clean and rust free, had it shipped from the west to Ohio, I was not as brave as you I had a shop cut the frame for me so now I do have a short bed also. In the process of installing 3k worth suspension and brake parts from ECE. I like watching your videos and Gibson 63. I’m learning a lot
Do these cross shafts/bushings also work in 73-87 C10 lower control arms?...someone on a forum says the control arms are the same except the ball joint hole size?
props for rebuilding these man. I chickened out and got the CPP lowers to match the uppers. Hoping the wider CPP lowers don't interfere with finding headers. Do your stock lowers have tight clearance between the cross shaft nut and the down tubes of the header on the driver side? I can't remember which headers you used for this build. Cheers
Hey man, sorry for all the questions. I'm working on my front suspension and pretty much-getting everything you've got. I can't find the replacement cross shafts for $28.99. Do you by chance remember where you got them? Thanks man!
Is that a C10 or a C20 shaft? I'm trying to help a friend with a C10 and have become totally confused about their lower control arms mainly why the OEM's have disappeared. If anyone knows of a master compilation of all things Chevy truck please share it with me.
I can not find the lower control arm for my c10 its 1978 2wheel drive if any one can help me with the part number please my truck its really messed up in the front end
I just did one right now, tried pb, wd40, couldn't get it, ended up just soaking the bump stop in hot water for like 5 minutes and using a screwdriver to work the rest in!
Thanks for being super descriptive! I’m definitely gonna fix my front end
Your videos are great, makes me think/want to rebuild my entire front end.
This is a very helpful video. Love the detail in your videos
thanks for the video. Been a while sense I did one of these lower control arms.
Great video man, thanks for posting this!
I thought the bushing end caps had to be torqued.
Great detailed video thank you for posting I learned alot
Great video man
Helped with an 82 C3500 also. Thank you!

Those steel threaded bushings replace the rubber bushings that come on my stock control arms?
Nope. You have different ones
Steel bushings from 60 to 70. Rubber bushings after that.
@@adriantomlin2902 I believe the first year was 1973 (That used the rubber bushings)
@@dickmick5517 thanks for that. I was wondering if it went up to 1972? Thank you sir!
Hey Man excellent job... can you send me a link where you get your parts, I'm doing the same project. You are ahead of me but im getting there...
Summit Racing for everything
Thanks man... great videos I wish I live close to you I would come to your home and give you a hand.. I know you don't need it just for fun
How did you get the rubber bumpers in by the spring well?
Nice work. Are you learning as you go, or have you done a lot of automotive work in the past
Learning as I go. I’ve done mostly bolt on stuff in the past but never completely torn a vehicle down like this.

What part of Ohio are you in?
do the bushings need to bottom out against the control arm ?
To my knowledge: yes
Do you know if the control arms from a 1980 c10 will fit on a 63 c10?
Do these cross shafts/bushings also work in 73-87 C10 lower control arms?...someone on a forum says the control arms are the same except the ball joint hole size?
No they press in on 73 and newer.

No clearance issues at all. It’s a tight fit but Speed Engineering has it figured out.
Do these fit on a 1985 g20 chevy van

Autozone
Can you buy just the rubber seals if so who sells them
Para que sirve el punto del eje de la parrilla inferior.
Or where I can get the lower. Control arm
So if i have a 72 c20
Can I install 72 c10 upper and lower control arms ?
They are the same ?
Good job man demonstrating!!! What about some blue thread locker on the suspension components?!

Those are C10. C20 are much larger.

Where'd you get the parts from?
Everything is in the description
@@paulkc10 yeah I just saw that right after I sent this my bad
I had no luck installing bump stops, used wd40 and then dish soap🤨
Put one side of the tab in and flathead screw driver that other side in there
They're a bastard to get in there
Damn this guy made it look easy...I can't get mine to go in either

Dayton
No way. I played football at UD
When I watched you insert them they went right in...my replacement parts won't do that.
Cool video but lower control area for a 73 - 87 are pressed in. Yours are threaded so title of video is wrong.
Not 60 and 61, but I'm not sure about 62. The 60 and 61 have torsion bar suspension so this is not accurate for those years.
It would have been nice with some dialog instead of the annoying music.
Wrong!
